FOLKS

I urge anyone who has not heard the following CD to rush to your local music store and purchase what is in my opinion the best CD of the 21st century. It has incredible vocals and awesome musicianship from all four members.
A melodic masterpiece.

ASIA............SILENT NATION

I will buy anyone a 4 pack of Bud if they get the CD and dont like it, all you will have to do is come here and get the beer...lol... It has blown me away. JOHN PAYNE, GEOFF DOWNES, CHRIS SLADE AND GUTHRIE GOVAN (Thats Govan not Gowan) I applaud your brilliance.

And I see Asia in March with Dare as opener what a gig thats gonna be.

Silent Nation got a decent review in 'Classic Rock' magazine.You read that mag there DarrenUK or soon to be US (congrats son).It's a british mag???
I did not know Chris Slade was on drums.He is amazing.Got to know of him in Manfred Mann's Earth Band from their heyday in the 70es,and AC/DC where he was a drummer also for several years.

Slade also had spells in The Firm with Rodgers and Page and Uriah Heep.

They did a few dates last year, one with Styx in an all day concert in Pennsylvania. I think it was Pittsburgh.

But it was only a few dates. No real show, just the musicians and the music. But that is par for the course for those all day things.

In an interview i was reading at that time they were warmups before they went into the studio to record this album. They then said that they would be back this summer.

Let's hope that they stillplan to do this. I would love to hear that music live.

Chris Slade done the Uriah Heep album CONQUEST that featured John Sloman (Ex Lonestar, Gary Moore ) on vocals. Lonestar being the class act of the 70s not the country act of today.

I bought the cd, you owe me a 4 pack, but lets make it coke or pepsi.
The cd is good, but falls short of a masterpiece. Better than Arena, and there last one. But not as good as Aura, or Auqa.
Asia is suffering from what Styx is, trying to go ahead with new members, while keeping the classic sound, while trying to get a new sound, to get new people, so they won't have to worry about the classic line up!?! Enought said, I think?-ERIC
