More than ever? So you think before Lady hit it big that Styx could play 600 shows to the same amount of people as in the past few years? Methinks you exaggerate!

If I remember correctly, the top 3 were "Born For Adventure", "Pieces of Eight" and "I'm Okay". I'm pretty sure he's NOT going to do Born For Adventure. But that can change.

I hope he plays "Pieces" and "I'm Okay". It does appear I will be going with a few friends.

too bad it doesnt spell something more catchy....I suppose we could come up with another acronym, such as

S.A.G.S. ( Society against Gowans Singing )

or

G.V.I.N.P. ( Gowans voice is Noise Pollution ! )

any other creative thoughts along these lines out there ?

And before anyone gets bent out of shape......I'm just having a little fun, so RELAX !

I have a recording of the 3rd show of the first tour without Dennis in '99.

Here is the setlist (not in order)

Lady
Lorelei
Crystal Ball
Grand Illusion
Fooling Yourself
Come Sail Away
Miss America
Man in the Wilderness
Blue Collar Man
Renegade
Queen of Spades
Lights
Boat on the River
Rockin the Paradise
Best of Times
Too much Time on My hands
Snowblind
Half-Penny Two Penny
Part of Roboto
Edge of the Century
Heavy Water
I Will be Your Witness
Everything is Cool

Yes, some of the songs are the same. But almost half are not being played on this tour.

So, no - they have not played 600 shows with the same setlist.

By the way, it was an awsome show.

I saw this same show add to it High Enough, Sometimes Love Just Aint Enough, Criminal Mind,Love Is The Ritual, Brave New World and Sweet Home Alabama and this was the set I saw in San Antonio at The Far West Rodeo back in August of 1999. It was probably the BEST concert I have ever seen.

The funny thing was I almost refused to go because Dennis was no longer in the group.

I seen them in Germany twice in 2000 they done a great set and to hear Half Penny again live was amazing. Also they done Boat On The River and at the end of both shows the Germans roared for the same song again and the band done it......probably because the song spent weeks at #1 in the country for weeks in 1980.

As far as a musical spectacle with a great show I prefer Styx with DDY as for seeing a band play hard and rock the Carrot Styx wins so as i have always said I love both but would like to see DDY come back but if that never happens then so be it.

Now perhaps I should move this to a new thread, but I am seriously asking...given what we know and/or think of DDY's musical leanings these days, as well as the enjoyment many here get from "hard rocking" the current lineup represents, please give me your thoughts as to why you think it would be a good or bad thing to have the band reunite with him. It's a general question to everyone here.

Darren, check your pm.

Sadie. I think you should start a new thread on this. This is a good discussion question.

Yogi 600 shows with the same setlist is ridiculous
Dennis never did this in his career

Dennis never did that?! Compare Return To Paradise and Caught in the Act

How many songs are the same? Most!

The Book says:

I hope he plays "Pieces" and "I'm Okay". It does appear I will be going with a few friends.

I heard that "Pieces of Eight" should be ready for the Milwaukee and Green Bay shows. They were getting the arrangements ready for the orchestra. I'm sure it should be ready for the Phoenix show too next weekend. :?:

If I was a betting type of person, I would think the song "I'm Okay" will be played at the Chicago show. I'm pretty sure I won't be told what other songs will be added. Even though I'm a type of person that needs to know everything, I guess I want the set list to be a surprise for me in Chicago

I'm sure the setlist for this years tour will be a little different for Dennis.
