Sounds like an interesting roadtrip all around. I'm sure glad you still got to see them, a la 15 hours out of your way. By the way, have you seen Kiss Meets The Phantom Of The Park (I'm sure you have)? That is my all-time favorite lame and cheesy movie (and I truly mean that in a good way) :D

Yep sure have... I even transferred my VHS copy to DVD. It sure is cheesy but cool in it's own way. You know that's not even Peter Criss' voice, don't you?

On another note, I have a huge collection of KISS bootleg stuff that I've been transferring to DVD over the last few years... along with trading for other stuff/bands... sadly I have no Styx bootleg stuff.

Does anyone have/trade live video Styx bootleg stuff? I'd be very interested in stuff from '75-'83 but also the EOTC Tour and '97 tours too.

If anyone has stuff on VHS I am since I can put stuff on DVD maybe we could work something out. PM me.

I have already seen the Orchestra concert so just the band only, outdoor festival, His Lost Treasures evening concert with seating, and Yes, I wouldn't mind making the trip to Milwaukee, or better yet Davis Park here for "On The Water Front" in Rockford would really be cool... :)

Saw Journey at Davis Park not a great venue but being outside at night under the stars in warm weather is the ticket

Actually, no, I didn't know that, and I tend to pride myself on my music trivia knowledge! If not Peter, who's singing and what's the story behind that?

Let's see.. for me, I'd like the idea of having the orchestra on some of the songs, just not all of them, but since this isn't realistic, I think I'd pick the symphony. I like the theatre(Evil Eyes, I was also at the Kettering show that was rained out), and I would probably go with an evening show, definitely containing the lost classics..

Suite, it's amazing how hearing Gowan sing "Lady" can make anyone tear up.. :P (before anyone goes crazy, I actually think the guy is talented, just DON'T sing that song!!)

Gowan......When you're singing I'm crying...........
Give me, uh-uh whol-whole box of ear plugs !
Your voice, sounds like tortured guys shrieking
Touches me, like a Prostate Exam.........

Anyone want to take a stab at the 2nd verse ????

4. Would you prefer to have the concert at 3:00 in the afternoon and then a meet & greet/dinner/questions & answers after the show or would you enjoy the concert in the evening?

Whatcha think? Would you travel up to Milwaukee to see this show?

Who is paying for this?

If it is free, I would rather see it at a casino. I would prefer a lost treasures show. I would like to see him at night. I am not into the meet and greet thing.

Where do I sign up.

...then there was the Chicago show at the Rosemont (not the first one, tho) where it rained cats & dogs, and the Chicago Theater show where I had to drive through the downpour, following a friend, at 70+mph on the interstate during rush hour  ...

It seems like most of the time I go to a DeYoung show, it's either pouring or frigid--hence my preference for an indoor venue!

Peter does sing Beth in the movie, but it's not his voice for the dialogue.

When movies are shot they often times (always?) go back and overdub the dialogue because it's not always clearly audible. Well, when they did this for the movie they used someone else to do it. If you listen the voice itself sounds familiar. I think it was a guy that was used in other Hanna Barbara programs/cartoons.

I've heard conflicting stories as to why they did this. One story is that Peter just didn't show up, while another is that he was so out of it on drugs he couldn't be understood.

Stevebuk1, that would be great if you could make it to Milwaukee some day. :)

If this was possible and if I was planning this event for next year, July in the Milwaukee area. This is what I would plan:

Invitation Only, with a guest.

Small Indoor Venue with assigned seating (my friends and family would get the front rows - LOL) I love outdoor concerts, but the to be safe due to the weather I would have it inside.

Concert with his band, even though I love the orchestra shows especially with "Pieces of Eight".

Concert starting at 6:30, meet and greet to follow.

Since this concert will be for Dennis/Styx fans, I would like to have a fun raffle for prizes (I love raffles and I love prizes). One of the top prizes would be breakfast with Dennis and the band the following morning, 5 winners and their guests.

I haven't decided on the songs yet or the order, what songs would you like to hear if this concert came true?

Lost Treasures concert please with Born For Adventure, Lonely Child, Roseland, Paradise, Golden Lark, Evil Eyes, Ballerina & Love At First Sight added to the set.

I would pay top dollar plus airfare for this ONCE IN A LIFETIME event!!!

Damn Suite, if youve got the stroke to make this happen you've got to do it!!!! Lifes toooooooooooo short!!!!!!

Get to WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other songs plus the ones I have mentioned would include: The Best Of Times, Lady, Come Sail Away, Castle Walls, Queen Of Spades, Suite Madame Blue, Wont Go Wasted, Outside Looking In, Unanswered Prayers & I'm OK

PLEASE get to work to make this happen!!

Now I'm lost... is this a real possibility or are we just purely fantisizing here?

Steve, Milwauke is a great place! I've been twice--once with a girlfriend and this past Feb with my hubby. There's a lot to see & do, but without all the big city headaches: the Miller Brewing tours (with free beer!!!), the Safe House, The Omni-max dome theater, Lake Michigan, etc. Thoroughly enjoyed myself, even if it was frigid!
