It was probably about 40 degrees and it was fairly windy.

Burrr! It didn't look that cold on TV, LOL.

But as i said in another thread, some need to get over their first encounter in the back of their car with their first date and move on.

If you think this applies to you, then it probably does

Yeah. It does. Mainly because what I should be "moving on" with is so inferior in every way. I like my memories of the past Styx as well because they are so good, and so much better than the here and now lineup. Using the name. Using the fame. And not taking me along for this particular ride.

Change your hairdo. Change your name.
Congratulations! You're still the same.

That's not what is being said. If you can't stand her because she turned into an ugly bitch, dump her and move on with your life. Constantly going about saying, "But, now you're an ugly bitch...I want you they way you were six years ago..." is pointless. Saying she needs to change her name because you now can't stand her is absolute nonsense...she can go by any name she wants to...and since you now think she's an ugly bitch, why would she listen to you any way?

And you all miss the point.

You cherish the memories, they are part of who you are. But you can't let the old memories rule your life. At some point you have to move on. Un less you married your high school sweetheart, you have moved on from that relationship, and it has allowed you to move into another. If your stuck on the old one, you can never move forward.

I am of the opinion that the past and all it's memories, good or bad, have a way of helping to shape who you are now. That being said, I am perfectly content to leave my memories of the past as they are. I have moved on from "the former boyfriend" and believe that most here have as well. I think perhaps we all get caught up in what we perceive is being said, rather than actually reading it. I don't want my "former boyfriend" back...he (the band) has way too much baggage. But I can look at old photos (albums/concerts) and remember them fondly. The fact that I've maintained relationships with people involved with the "former boyfriend" (apply various members of the band) by no means indicates I would like to renew the relationship, nor that I haven't moved beyond it.

Carry on.

Exactly Suite just because Tommy Shaw and JY need cash we are all supposed to just forget about the STYX band we all grew up with
That is totally selfish If you ask me
I will never forget sitting in the back yard on a warm July night hearing Come Sail Away for the very first time
According to NH Im just supposed to forget that and run to see some hyped up copycat sing the song
NO WAY.
Everyone stay away from STYX let them play to 17 year olds,[/quote]

I ahve never given up my memories of them. Still hold onto them. Why shouldn't you? But I would not get to hear the music of Styx live, with Dennis. because he doesn't like to tour. Since going solo, he has not been to Mississippi. Styx has been down here every year since 99.-ERIC

That is what Larry's comment was about "letting your knickers down" line during Walrus when he added, "not with this weather"

Larry is quite the cutup!

Because Suite, if you don't like this line-up there is something wrong with you.

Don't you know that it is your obligation to forget about the glory days of Styx and support this line-up 110% because... well just because.
