Froy, you are funny.

Did you get to see Gowan singing Fields of the Brave, Criminal Mind or More Love For the Money?

Glad I didn't and I was refering to the show that was reviewed not a single song you just mentioned were on that set
Also Fields of the Brave is a Show Me The Way rippoff
Criminal Mind is Gowans big solo hit that nobody in the US ever heard of
And MLFTM no I never heard it It never made it to the radio ,
Are you saying Gowan is a legend like Styx Mike did because of these 3 songs?

and thank god for Lawrence Gowan

I with thank him when he gets out of a band he has no buisness being in
He has done Nothing for Styx even less than JY and that is really nothing
The guy is an enabler he keeps this sham going
I say Get Lost Larry go back to your huge solo career.

styxmike: Glad you enjoyed the show. I agree with you about Todd. I really enjoy watching him on Grand Illusion. Simply awesome! Sounds like you had a great time, and that's what it's all about! Carry on!

Darren,

I am thrilled that you have had such a great time as of late. When I saw them in Charlotte, they blew me away. The fact that you have been able to HANG OUT WITH TODD is nothing short of amazing! Wish I could have been there. But before I go off the edge, let me pull the both of us back just a second.

First off, I know you like Dennis as well as the "new" Styx. Ridiculing Dennis based upon an appearance in admittadly (sp?) mediocre movie does somewhat hinder your objectivity. (You've done well until recently). Consideration of your 'enthusiasm' should however be taken in light of the euphoria surrounding your recent windfall of live Styx performances.

I have refrained from mentioning 820 tickets sold in Glasgow (apathy aside, it is Larry's hometown after all!). 'The Perfect Man' will be seen by several MILLION people. Simple math ( 1,000,000/820 = 1,219 to 1). Basically, don't underscore the movie's impact on catalog sales.

If you have a problem with froy (which you shouldn't), this is a 'game' in effect, don't let it hamper your memories of what Dennis meant to the band's history. Yes I do enjoy what Froy and Monker and Adam bring to the table. It only serves to make the board a more interesting place and I look forward to each of their posts with great eagerness (insert Hobson voice here).

Once again have a great time at the shows,

Scott

I dont have a problem with Froy as a person, he seems a very nice guy and I respect his views, I dont agree with them but I respect them......my rants at Froy are nothing personal and should be seen as me being a fan of the current band who is willing to defend them and I will continue to do that. I loved Dennis's music up to 1981 and in my opinion he wrote about 7 of my top 10 Styx songs.........to me he was a theatrical ROCK writing genius who moved in another direction from what he was back then and its a direction i dont care for....I wish him all the best but its not something I like but putting that aside his live with the orchestra was a return to form with songs like Castle Walls and now bringing PO8 back too.....thats the DDY music I love.
Have a great weekend swwskj and everyone else (and that includes KilFroy.... :D)

It is STYX it says so on Larrys keyboards
