I heard that to get Friga out, Neal would have to cough up alot of cash to buy him out, and you know where Neal's cash goes.......

that would work if they dont want to write anymore.. but neal is a guitar mastermind.. cain is a lyricist of equal talent.. (unless hes writing about what his kids are wearing),, this band has no leader,, and the ones they hire are givin no power.. they can hire arnel.. but they need someone to call the shots..

I hope he gets the job as long as can create and not just cover the hits well.

The remarks against him for his accent and nationality are shallow and only reflect bad on you.

I wholeheartedly disagree. I, for one, have discussed his nationality in terms of how I think the general Journey ticket buying public will react, as have many others. That said, I think there will be a large group of hot dog eating, beer drinking American Journey fans that will reject Journey with Arnel as the singer. That's what many of us see as a pretty good hypothesis. Fair or not, that's how we see it. As far as his accent goes, he's a singer, and along with being a singer in a foreign band (for him), whether or not he can annunciate the words properly is a fair issue to bring up. While I agree with you that this would be a "feel good" story if he is chosen, I completely disagree with your assertion that his nationality and accent being discussed "reflect bad on" those that choose to discuss them. That is simply NOT true.

Good luck all-

As was Jeremey according to Andrew. Til he asked for time to think about it and they didn't wait. Probably had Perry flashbacks of "waiting."

It is too late for this band. They live in the minute i.e $$$$. Unless Jeff or Perry sings , we have a duty to inform local radio stations and casual friends of their demise and who is really in this whatever( cover band ). I am thoroughly disgusted. Bands w/o orig members is a huge problem in this country. Some have no orig members. Bl Ash pays BIG buck to bring in acts. It is my duty to tell them not to get the bands from name recognision but to go for the orig singer/songwriter. Sometimes it seems like fraud.

I'm not sure on the specifics of Jeremey's audition, but from what I read in interviews w/ SA, his seemed to only include Jon and Neal.
The fact that ALL members are together here seems to indicate this has moved beyond the audition stage.

Hmm...perhaps they are rehearsing for a surprise kick-off performance in Chicago early next month?
I mean, afterall, nobody has shouldered the brunt of the band's recent stupid fuckups more than Andrew.
Then again, these circus grifters aren't quick to bail out even their own bandmates, so just what the fuck am I talking about?

JSS was ready, willing, and able, as you put it, to "create." The asswipes threw that all away. What makes you think anything's changed?

If not, my guess its a done deal.

Why take a picture like that of the WHOLE BAND all smiley faced if he's not in?
