Will DDY Fans ever love Tommy Fans again ?

I don't think there is too much animosity between the fans of the individual performers.......with the possible exception of Froy, who seems to get antagonized when people show support to the current lineup.

Well, I'm probably (and have been) more of a Tommy fan than a Dennis fan so this particular question isn't really applicable to me. For the record, though, I hold no animosity towards any of the members of Styx, past or present.

The question wasn't asking if there was animousity towards the (present or former) band members, but animousity towards each other because of who we support, right? To answer that question, I'll need a volunteer and a condom. Just kidding. Actually, it would depend on who the fan was and how she or he goes about presenting her or his opinion. For example, I have received hate mail from certain people because of who I support saying things about my personal life that have absolutely nothing to do with Styx - all because I avidly support this lineup. To me, that goes beyond fandom and borders on stalking and harrassment. I have, in the past, found myself becoming QUITE irritated at casual DDY fans (ei: those who don't harrass or belittle) who stand back and allow the other behaviour from those others as well.

As a rule, however, I don't really care who you support.

Oh no - not that! lol

Of course they don't, but in my experience (perhaps only in my experience?), that's more often been the case. In fairness, in the last couple of years, I've seen a lot less of grenades fly than in years previous.

I also think that what one "side" perceives as a slam, the other usually doesn't, and vice versa.

As for personal attacks, I have hopefully avoided doing that, as they serve no purpose and aren't called for. When I think someone has been out of line in that regard, I've said so...however, once again, I think it's subject to interpretation.

That is, of course, outrageous for anyone to do this to someone else. One would hope this hasn't happened too much to you.

I agree with Sadie on this point completely. I think here on this board, for the most part, we are tolerant. Or are moving in that direction.

And I also agree that sometimes the person who perceives they are being wronged and not defended properly often will do the EXACT same thing when the shoe is on the other foot.

I feel we have all moved beyond some of the pettiness here. I certainly hope so.

I wonder if it's like being from the South after the Civil War...but it seems to me there are more often DeYoung followers who are the most bitter, most disrespectful.
