If the interviews are to be believed it was the lack of touring and band activity that led to his drink problems, so do you think he would have stayed with Dennis and gone down that road, I don't think so!!
IMO what the current line up is doing would have been right down Johns street, constant touring, heavy sound etc plus being with his brother during his illness.

That seems to be C. Panozzo's view as well. I haven't seen him show up at any DDY concerts.

I have seen him at Styx shows and involved in each new Styx album as well as included in album photos.

1997, Grand Illusion 20yr Aniversery tour.

They actually did "Dear John" in concert. At the end they flashed a huge pic on the screen of JP in his hey day. Below the pic it simply read, "Rockin' in Paradise".

Definite lump in my throat over that. It was a cool tribute!

I have an audio of a 1997 tour concert. Dear John was beautifully performed. Whatever John's life was or wasn't, it was a moving, personal thing for the band to do. May John rest in peace.
