The Great Styx Personality Quiz

Postby classicstyxfan » Thu Jul 21, 2005 9:35 am

OK before I even begin, I admit this topic is out there a little bit....but the other threads are dying...........

We all know there are widely varying personalities which make up the various incarnations of Styx...if you need guidance in their ( perceived ) personality traits, you need go no further than many of the previous threads here.

My Question is: IF you had to describe your personality and that of your significant other ( or another poster here if you feel really brave ) using a Styx member as the example....who would it be, and why ?

As an example , I'll go 1st.........

I'd describe my personality as being like Chuck......( when I'm not typing away on the internet ) I prefer not to be the person in the spotlight, I'm somewhat introverted....I'd rather stay home than be around a crowd of people. I can however contribute to a group dynamic, and be an important part of whats going on, as Chuck was in Styx.

Mrs Classic is more of a Dennis, in that she is a born producer, taking on leadership roles at work, organizing social events etc. she likes to get things done, on her terms, and occasionally it gets under her skin when they are not.

OK, someone elses turn..............

I guess I am Tommy - When I was in jr high I was considered "cute" by girls. The truth is I was a pretty boy and very unitimidating to most girls and considered a fag to some guys. I now understand this as a staight but good looking guy who scored with lots of chicks (sometimes I refered to them as babes just be different) that this pissed off the tough guys. Now as a 42 year old married with children dude I reralize that TS who I always thought was kinda gay just dealt with his terrible girish looks by getting more pussy than any of his band members. - please excuse language sometimes it just sounds stupid when you try to be polically expressed. Bottom line is Shaw looks quite different fron his early days with Styx and I am surprised no one has ever commented on this change.

OSE, sounds like you've changed from a Tommy to a Dennis ( Family man ) personality wise.... Were you a "partier" in your youth, ala Tommy or John P ???

I sported the Tommy Hair-Do during my high school years......You'd never know it by looking at me today though !

I wonder if there are any "Glen's" out there....??

Somewhere between Tommy and Glen. Generally, my brain wanders all day, and I'm sarky like Glen, but I'm very intuitive and cautious - even moody sometimes, so I can relate to Tommy on those levels...plus there's the whole recovery thing. Although, I see a lot of myself in Todd sometimes too. Of course, I was recently accused of being like Dennis because I refused to change the way I sing something because one of my bandmates said I should. lol

believe me, i know my Styx

onestilllearning, hopefully you can post a picture of you from high school, now I'm very curious :)

Since Tommy has shaved (recently-thank goodness), you can tell how he's really aging. I thought he always looked young until a year or two ago. He looks very, very tired.

I'm just like Mrs. Classic, it looks like I have the same personality. I guess I have the closest personality with Dennis with leadership. But I'm also a little like Glen, the wild and crazy side.

I don't see myself as having any one dominating characteristic of the band members, but then self perception can be an amazing quality

I'm the go to person in times of crisis. My work requires me to be a leader, however those that know me would tell you outside of work that isn't my role at all. So I guess I split this role with Dennis and Chuck????

I am a keep the balance/peacekeeper, so perhaps in that aspect I am a little like the late great John P.

Aw shucks. That's me...mistress of useless information. Trivia buff extraordinaire. A quality that serves me well in "disagreements" with Mr. Sadie
