Re SFNH: Journey overflow

I was wondering myself. Is it that boring over there on their board? Or are we just waaaaay more interesting over here???

And just a friendly suggestion. How about smaller avatars, Journey folks? Though some of them are really nice, and I particularly like Steve and the kitty cat, they are just too large. Maybe a reduced version would be nice?

Well,

1) Froy has brought up Journey several times sparking conversation.

2) A couple of Styx posters came over to the Journey Board

3) Styx and Journey have some very serious parallels (Which is why Froy has brought them up).

4) Now the Journey Board is "locked" for a couple of days while Andrew gets some stuff done (Typing up the Journey interviews among other things).

5) I hope you are not implying that "we" are not welcome here. I will play nice, promise!

"we" know you will. However, let's be fair, when "we" venture onto the Journey board, "we" are discussing Journey.

I realize Froy brought up the Journey discussion, which is fine...to a point...on a Styx forum.

Parallels aside, I think that we can all play nice.

And let's face it, the Journey board got locked cuz there was just wayyyyyyyyyy too much ...um...hostility over there. I'd post more there, but seriously, wow, let me don my flak jacket.

Yes you are, I did not mean to imply otherwise. I certainly welcomed the input.

Absolutely.
I know a LITTLE about Styx, I have enjoyed their music for years but not really followed the specifics of the band. But when someone brings up Journey, I know quite a bit! Sorry to steer towards Journey posts.

Now that their forum is locked they're going to come to one of the only other forum that sees activities so that they can incite a war between Styx and Journey people.

I've actually been enjoying reading this forum again of late... wish we could keep the journey people flaming in their forum. It's not like we need any more drama over here.

Styx is shown A LOT of respect on the Journey board. I can't see any of the frequent posters starting trouble in here. I, for one, posted a thread on the Journey board about how great styxworld.com is, and that Journey could learn a lot of things from Styx.

And I don't see a lot of difference in the silly arguments you guys get into that we over at Journey do. I mean the Styx with and without DDY vs. the Journey without Perry stuff. You have your DeYoungloons, and we have our Perryloons!

IMO, it isn't the PEOPLE coming over here from the Journey forum, it's bringing the same tired arguments from that forum over here. The last thing I want to read in THIS forum is arguments about Generations or Augeri's voice, or how many pre-Perry songs are performed on the tour.

IMO, if Journey/Perry fans want to post here, fine, but at least keep it context of the STYX forum....and that INCLUDES Froy.

Things really don't get out of hand here. And there are a few that post good over at the other J board. They have a lot of passion for Journey, and they should, Journey is the second best band in the world, right behind Styx! :wink:

In high school I listened to Styx :shock:

, Journey, Night Ranger and Loverboy. Those were my favorite during that time.

I wish someday there would be a special concert with Dennis and Steve P. :lol:

That would be a dream concert for me.
