Back to the original post by Froy.

In my interview with Dennis, he mentioned the working title of his new cd. I never know if he's serious or not so I don't want to mention the possible title. I think he was being funny. Anyway, here is one of the song titles from his new cd "Something Better". I'll post them as I receive them. Hopefully they won't change - LOL Then I'll look like a doofus again

I'll have one of my friends transcribe (EE) the tape when she receives it sometime this year - LOL

For the love of God keep the Journey bullshit on the other forum.

I'm really sick of reading it.

Plus there is the Shaw-Blades Covers CD.

So Tommy is too busy for STYX?

He gave 6 wasted years Im sure he wants a break

Sounds like NEal Schon with Journey.

Journey is in big trouble
The Augeri era is not going so well
The buzz is dead
If Perry wants the gig I say give it to him
And dump Dean as well bring in Machine Gun .

SMB, did you get any vibe as to what style he's leading toward? I've read snippets here and there that he was plan a rock tour. Any chance that might coincide with a new CD?

I wouldn't mind a Broadwayesque CD from him. He sounds great doing it. But I definitely prefer rock.

Any thoughts?

He did mention that it was going to be more of a rock album (cd for you young ones). With some of the titles mentioned, it sounds that it could be a mix. I heard from a few people, that one of the songs the band has been practicing during soundcheck, is a "rock" song. I heard this from a variety of people. I know it's not a ballad for sure. I guess he has 2 songs that are ready to be performed, he was just waiting until they were done being copyrighted. I heard part of one of the songs, and TO ME it sounded like a song between a cranked up "Come Sail Away" and a little "Pieces of Eight" sound. I personally liked what I heard.

I have a couple recent radio interviews too that I need to listen to again. I'll find the parts about the new cd.

As for a tour, the promoter at the venue decides what they want, DDY & orchestra or DDY and band. Bugsy can probably explain better about that part of the interview about what type of show he prefers to do. I think the next tour will be a variety. I'm personally looking forward to more "Lost Treasures"/Rock shows. I think last night was my 10th DDY orchestra show :)

What does anyone think of Dennis adding "Lords of the Ring" to his concerts?

I think this one could work orchestrally. It would be so interesting to hear someone besides JY sing it. I am so used to his take on the song.

Lords would be interesting, though I would go more Born for Adventure.

I wouldn't mind giving it a try....I'm used to JY singing lead but I would be interested in hearing Dennis's Lead vocals on it....Or any one else for that matter....

Waaaaaaaaaay back to the beginning of this thread.

"New" songs played at a future Dennis concert/s.

1. Maybe another song from the Wooden Nickel era?

2. Maybe a song added from the "Pieces of Eight" album?

3. Maybe a brand spanking new song?

One, two or three? I guess we'll have to just wait and see

Evil Eyes, I'm glad you're not holding your breath

If I was a betting person (LOL) I would go with #2. I hope that #1 & #2 will be ready and performed in Rockford. I would think #3 could be ready by December?

I decided that I need to hire a personal assistant - LOL I need someone to actually go out and buy me a DVD burner, then I'll have all my videos and DVD's copied!! Help, anybody, help - LOL 8)

I thought Styx was planning on releasing some new material in 2006?

When will Dennis DeYoung release some new material? I haven't come across any possible release dates of some new music.

Styx enjoys coming up here to the Pacific Northwest but why doesn't Dennis DeYoung come up here?

I thought I read that it was pushed to 2007 (Spring?)

No release date yet. He has 15 songs, I posted a few of them on here (somewhere). He has 2 songs ready for radio, he had to have them copyrighted first, or they are now.

More dates will be added soon.
