My predictions:

Damn Yankees will intend to release an album and tour in 2006, although I'm beginning to think of them as the little boy who cried wolf. I'll believe it when I see it. Maybe it'll just be a tour with no album.

Larry may possible pursue some solo stuff.

Todd will take a well-deserved break and being the youthful one, re-evaluate where he is now and where he wants to be in 10 years.

JY, hmmm . . . he'll hit the interview circuit and continue to irk everyone who happens to hear him :D

All band members will write music and will intend to reunite late in 2006 or early 2007 for an album of all-new material.

Actually, my true answer, froy, is that I have no idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From what I "heard", Shaw never signed anything that he had to be in STYX after 1999.

I'll have to read my past posts to see what I babbled about.

Something like DeYoung & Shaw in 2006, I think I'll have to change the location to Chicago. Milwaukee or Chicago, one show August 2006. A DeYoung / Shaw cd, new music in 2007 followed up by a Spring/Summer short tour.

Shaw will continue to work with Jack Blades and other artists on another ton of cd's.

There is NO way, no way at all, that JY can go on without Shaw. No offense to the other members, but it sure the heck wouldn't be the same.

of course he can, if he owns the name, but what's in a name, just letters. It's not the same now without Dennis. It would be great to see Dennis and Tommy on stage again.

You're right, I know he can, but I don't see why he would keep the name going without DeYoung and Shaw with him.

I want to see Dennis and Tommy on the same stage together, just one more time. I want to see them soon!!! Life is too short..............

Eh...I'm in no rush for that to occur. I can see why some would be interested, but it's not a big deal to me if it does.

The same thing that always happens....

Three tours, a new album, and talk about another album.

I doubt DY will happen, but I'll take it if it does.

There is about as much of a chance of Tommy and Dennis touring together as there is Dennis and Steve Perry touring together. It "could" happen, but not very likely at all.

I agree it would just look wrong
2 former members of a band on the same stage just looks like something is missing.
It might make JY look bad so Shaw may not want to do that,
I do not see a Shaw DeYoung deal at all.

Froy,

What do you mean no stories?????????????????????????

You have been spewing fiction around here since 1999!!!!!!!

What the hell do you mean Shaw is ' not signed' in 2006. What does that mean?? Is Tommy Shaw a free agent??? Do you think Steinbrenner is going to sign him???? Maybe the Cardnials. I hear he has always wanted to sing for LaRussa.

Sounds like you have broke out the fiction again!! John Froy Grisham!!!!

Oh, for some reality. Styx will release a new CD at some point in 2006, and tour in support of this CD.

I'm with Yogi. Froy's cryptic announcement at the top of this thread is confusing. Excuse my ignorance, but did something recently take place in the band that I'm unaware of?

Yes, "could"...with the quote...meaning by the strictest definition of the word. Example : STeve Perry "could" donate part of his nose to Michael Jackson. Or, Monker "could" become President and set the world right. Or, Froy "could" be an alien and that's why his writing skills suck. Dennis "could" tour with Tommy...same sorta thing.

Adam,

NOTHING happened that you missed. Froy just decided to make up some MOOOOOORRRRREEEE crap. He has been doing this for OVER SIX years now!!!!

It is a little known fact, but since Tommy Shaw played with Damn Yankees he currently doesnt even have enough years in with Styx to file for free agency. Tommy is locked in with Styx up until 2010, unless he is traded.

It has been rumored that Whitesnake is trying to trade for Tommy. Skid Row tried to get him but the deal fell through.

I am in the "believe it when I see it" camp here. I cannot imagine Tommy jumping off the gravy train, unless his gravy boat is full for ...oh say...the rest of his life.

I am not one who would like to see a reunion of Mr. Shaw and Mr. DeYoung. If it happens, well, ok, and I would prefer the acoustic set someone mentioned on the other thread, but I would rather they not get back together.

See you started with your lame stories again
Fact is Shaw does not have a contract with STYX
He is a free agent that is correct
He can do cover tunes for the rest of his life,
The buddy partnership was destroyed after Dennis was pushed out
JY owns the name of STYX
