Didnt they do like 40+ shows together with Styx. Styx always appeared before Journey?? You would of thought by some twist of fate they would of bumped into one another. Or that Ross would of somehow backstage would of heard These Are The Times, or Miss America playing.

"I saw an interview with Jack (Black) before he worked with us, and he said that 'Grand Illusion' was his favorite song of all time. And these people are now out there winning Academy Awards and having number one box office kind of films … it's mind blowing," Young admits. "Some young women referred to me as a legend about three years ago, and I was mildly taken aback, because in my own mind, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, the Beatles, the Stones, Muddy Waters, Bo Diddly -- these people are legendary. But we have created a body of work that has influenced peoples' lives in ways I would never have dreamed of, and part of being legendary is just surviving long enough to still be alive when people discover that, 'Hey, you've been making records for thirty years and I really like what you've done.' So, I refer to myself as the reluctant legend. Now our mission statement is to go out there and mark the planet, and remind people about who Styx was and try to rebuild ourselves and climb Mount Everest for the second time."

Andrew: That's one thing – what about sharing vocals on an album – that's an entirely different situation.
Augeri: I'll tell you what started a lot of this. We had the pleasure of touring with REO and Styx a couple of years ago and we were impressed by the way entire band had shared the limelight as opposed to just having a lead singer.
Each and every band member sings and all have our different styles and I can take each and every on of these guys and tell you where their vocals qualities and strengths are.
And one thing would impress you more than the next. So we felt that way about Styx and we enjoyed that and the other guys thought that would be a good idea and why would I ever argue a good thing. It seemed to work with those guys and I think it has worked realty well on the record.
"That legendary thing is a hard mantle to wear," Young adds wryly, with tongue firmly in cheek.[b] "So I've begun to refer to myself as a reluctant legend."
You people are pathetic.
I made a post compliementing Styx and you guys turn it into nothing more then a Styx bash fest.
Congrats.
Well, if JY is ready, Styx is willing to make the break that they are on the brink of . . . . . . . . . . . .
