They did On My Way in Tunica, MS in March of 2001 at a show I attended. I distinctly remember because Helen was running around the casino all day screaming about it.

Wow a rare one off.

Because most of these have not been played all the way through in many years, There setlist has been almost the same for about 4 years.

Well that shows what little you truly know, because I've been to 31 shows in the last six years and only two before that and those were the only two with Dennis. NONE of those songs you listed were played with Dennis. Maybe Babe was, but I think I was in the bathroom.

As is his habit, Froy will pose a question, AS IF THE ANSWER WILL PROVE SOME POINT THAT REVEALS THAT ALL THAT MATTERS IS DENNIS (and his lip-syncing wife who only goes on stage “to be seen”- GEEZ what an attention-hungry, insecure, embarrassing and pitiful gesture THAT is if it’s so).

Once an answer is given whch turns Froy’s ‘point’ around, he’ll dismiss the answer, distract the line of discussion (communicative A.D.D.), or negate the question as if it’s of no import. In the interest of clarity, I submit the following sequence.

A QUESTION:
Froy: is your band playing any of these songs live?
Midnight Ride, Half Penny ,You Need Love, Crystal Ball, Love In The Midnight, Little Suzie, On My Way, Home Wrecker, Shooz, Great White Hope, Lords of The Ring, Everything Is Cool, Double Life, Haven't We Been Here Before, Madame Blue, Castle Walls, Pieces of 8, Im Okay, Why Me, Man In The Wilderness, Superstars

AN ANSWER:
Angiekay: as a matter of fact, almost all of those songs mentioned are being played in a medley at every Styx show. When I saw Dennis this summer, the only one he played live was Castle Walls… Over the years I have seen Styx perform several of these songs in their entirety.

SOMEONE ELSE’S QUESTION:
SuiteMadameBlue: Just curious, which songs from Froy's list did you or anyone else on this board see/hear in it's entirety? After 1999, not before.

TWO ANSWERS:
Zan: On My way, Queen of Spades, Suite Madame BLue, Half Penny Two Penny, Crystal Ball, Everything is Cool.

Angiekay: I've heard Half Penny, Crystal Ball(just two weeks ago in fact), On My Way, Everything is Cool, Man In The Wilderness, Suite Madam Blue, Queen Of Spades, Midnight Ride…even Sing For the Day and Boat on the River...yes, all in their entirety…

Froy: Wow a rare one off.

Angiekay: I've been to 31 shows in the last six years and only two before that and those were the only two with Dennis. NONE of those songs you listed were played with Dennis.

I ask you Froy, why do you even ASK questions if the answers don’t matter? If Dennis hasn’t played most of those song in 20+ years what point would it make if Styx did without him?

Froy, we’re all very certain that NOTHING Styx could do would satisfy you, save rehire DeYoung. They could play ONLY Paradise Theatre/Grand Illusion tracks…they could tour performing their entire vintage catalogue – a three day event – and you would still hate them.

(I imagine Froy, unable to follow my logic, right now staring blankly at the screen, scratching his head, picking his butt)

No Adam Gowan that is not an answer
Playing a lame medley and hearing 20 seconds of the song is not playing the song. Maybe for you it is because thats how they do it in kindergarden.

Were you sleeping durning Pieces of 8 ?

Suzanne must have not practiced the lip synching to that one, because he didn't play it when I saw him.

Two questions:

WHY????

&

What about Dawn-Marie? (Who, I'm aware is gone now, but up until recently, she was not only a member, but a main focus of the show)

Boy you sure see shows that nobody else does.
So you saw him about a year and a half ago why don't you say that
He added 8 within the last year.
My point about the lame Styx setlist is that it is just that lame
So you got lucky and they added a few songs I mentioned about 5 years ago
Fact is look at the setlist for the past 2-3 years its stale and boring
Dennis's setlist blows it away,

WHY????

1 answer I have no clue
I wish she would not do it
I also wish they would dump that crap version of Show me the way to the barf bag, Thats a bad version IMO

Point taken but I do not think she was in the show just because she had a relation to Dennis , She was in Hunchback so it was only natural for her to go live,

Dawn Marie is pregnant and I think is expecting in October, a baby boy.

Okay, I did the research for Froy. Angie, did you see Dennis recently at the Taste of Minnesota this past summer? Not to flame.

If you did, here is the set list from the show:

Grand Illusion
Lady
Desert Moon
Lorelei
Pieces Of Eight
Show Me The Way
Castle Walls
Light Up
Debussy's "Clair de Lune"
Don't Let It End
Mr. Roboto
Rockin' The Paradise
Suite Madame Blue
Babe
Best of Times

Encore:
Come Sail Away

To reiterate, Froy, we’re all very certain that NOTHING Styx could do would satisfy you, save rehire DeYoung. They could play ONLY Paradise Theatre/Grand Illusion tracks…they could tour performing their entire vintage catalogue – a three day event – and you would still hate them.

Why? Because you're not as much a Styx fan as you are a Dennis fan. So be it.

But then why do you hang around a website like this? Because it gives you some sort of sense of power to snipe, doesn't it? You are frustrated in some area of your life (poor education?) and it makes you feel "cool" to $hit on people online.

Welcome to Froy's compensation project. You are a very small voice in the real world, so all this makes you feel bigger. Your points are weak, silly and usually supported with statements like "that's how they do it in kindergarten" or something other of the "I know you are but what am I" variety.

I suggest you buy cans of spray paint & grafitti public buildings, signs, even homes, blasting out your message of DeYoung love, and whatever other unresolvable issues you are passionate and incoherent over.

Angie, I posted this a few posts back, were you at his (Dennis DeYoung) show on July 2, 2005 at the Taste of Minnesota?

This is from the Styxland board post: Great DDY show! Castle Walls and Pieces of 8 included. Nice to see everyone.

Again, here is the set list from the show. He played "Pieces of Eight" at the Minnesota show.

My waist isn't a size 31, but I have no idea what that has to do with a music discussion. But I DO use Finesse once in a while. :)
