I'm going back to bed - LOL Froy can fill everyone in, I had no sleep. 8)

All I can say is "OH MY GOD" - LOL  I just can't believe everything that happened on this trip.

We were in total Gowan country, Froy had a field day with all the Gowan fans - LOL . I couldn't find a t-shirt for him but I did take a lot of pictures on front of Gowan's picture and the Carrot Styx picture.

Gr8dane sorry to miss you. I ended up be up for 38 hours straight. Sadie, I'm still tired. LOL

Its funny we ran into a guy who books Carrot in the UK I was standing back stage in front of a picture of Gowan and the guy comes up to me and say's oh yea Gowan is amazing. I said Im gonna slap you
He looked and me like wow , I said I was from Chicago and Gowan is jerk
I said you must be from Canada he said no he books Carrot in the UK
He said everywhere he goes its is Dennis in the band.
Carrot Styx is now down to 20 thousand dollars per show.

Everywhere you go people ask is Dennis in the band ?

Amazing that after 6 years people have not guessed......and the guy who books Styx in the UK has had an easy job as they have only toured there once in 24 years.........i wish i had his job and pay for sitting on his butt doing nothing, i know they are going back in 2007 so he might have to do more work then.

Maybe he can get a job booking Dennis in the UK and Dennis could play the UK............more chance of winning the lottery me thinks.

Real easy, losing all that money in the UK. I would never promote this band with those figures. He sure wasn't doing anything, he was basically pacing back and forth trying to fill the seats. You can find out all the information on Pollstar.

I'm rounding these figures off:

The Bristol show "about" 520 tickets sold - Capacity 2,075 show only made about $24,700. Carrot Styx gets paid about $20,000 (not including all the requirements from their rider)

Manchester show "about" 1500 tickets sold - Capacity 2,693 $73,000, this was the largest attendance.

You can check on Pollstar for these figures, I just rounded off the numbers. You can check the venues for the number of seats and you can also check around the internet and find out how much each band/artist is paid at which venue. Easy homework!!!

LOL, oh yes, there are a lot of photos  Yes, Froy did wear me out, he slept most of the time up while I drove, 13+ hours and we took the wrong way up - LOL But, we didn't "Take The Long Way Home" 8)

A lot of people in Canada were saying how amazing Gowan is - LOL I had to capture the look on Froy's face when they kept talking and talking about Gowan. LOL

Roger's concert with the Toronto Symphony was just incredible for both nights. It's in my top 5 all time concerts!! He's one of the nicest guys in the world!!! I don't think I ever met a nicer person.

I'm waiting for Froy to post more stories

Here's a picture of Roger when we were backstage:

I'm waiting for Froy to post more stories

We arrived in Orillia on Friday about Noon and we called Rogers people
to see when we could do our sit down interview for Suite's cable show
They said be here in 2 hours.
Suite was cashed out no sleep
I was ok had about 5 hours
We went to Casino rama and met the nicest host named Jenna
she got us our passes and we went into the venue, They brought us about 30 rows up so we used the stage as the back ground
Our interviewer BOB who is friends with Jack and Joe ( inside joke)
had 1 run through of the questions that I thought up
I asked Rogers girl if he could bring his guitar for the interview and she never answered, We said we were ready and as I looked down here comes Roger Hodgson with his guitar walking up the stairs
I was just floored I will never forget his walk up the stairs it was like a dream. For about 20 min Bob was asking Roger my questions and he was giving very sencere answers. The last question was about the song
Give alittle Bit and how it was being played everywhere he said he really just wrote it and thought it was no big deal. 5 seconds later he sings the song for the interview . You talk about being freaked out
I was doing the video and listening with my head phones
I could not believe it

BTW The Kiss Heard around the world was not Froy and Suite next guess anyone?

More to come we still have to show you Jerry Lewis

Yeah, whatever  It was like "Oh My God"!!! LOL

Anyway, we enjoyed both nights of concerts, the sound check and the whole Friday night concert was taped, just beautiful. Backstage was really nice. The interview was awesome!! Met a lot of great people from all over the world.

My little cable show is moving up - LOL I had Dennis on, JY (LOL) and now Roger. I'm hoping to have Rob Thomas or Paul McCartney on when they come to town - LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL 8)

Hopefully on my next trip to Rama we can meet, when Dennis performs up there. Hopefully by next summer, that would be perfect. I enjoyed talking to you on the phone and I love your accent, just love it!!

Are you kidding ?
Rocky Styx was Edge of The Century
In The World Tonight smoked to high heaven'
I like THE REAL STYX you Like Fake STYX
That is our difference
And I will take it a step further and say if Gowan was not in the band you would not even be here at all.
It would have been nice to meet you why the hell didnt you come to the show? We had a great time after at a bar called The Zoo in downtown Orillia everyone was in such a LOVING MOOD
Thats where we met Jerry Lewis or a young looking one.
The guy was so cool
19 years old with a great attitude.
Sorry you could not make it.

The obvious first reason is,I am not really interested in seeing a RH concert ,and driving 2 hours and paying for it .No.
I was also working on Saturday. That was why I was hoping to catch you on the way up or back.
Now ,I did not pick Gowan,JY and Tommy did.
Carrot Styx is now,to me like, what I liked about the Classic Styx which died with Cornerstone. At least when they are performing live.So ,what I am trying to say is Classic Styx died even when Dennis was in the band.
It was too bad the RH show was not in Toronto and our hookup would have been so much easier.
Another time.
