John was with the band for 5 albums. In my book he is FOREVER a Styx member!

Why was The Pretenders inducted before some of these bands too?
Why wasn't Van Halen inducted? They sure influenced a TON of bands.
WHY WHY WHY?????

And by the way...Your next post will be #1500.
When CCR was inducted, John Fogerty didn't invite the rest of the band onto the stage. They just got to stand at their tables and Fogerty made the acceptance speech and played in the all-star jam.
The RNRHOF IS a joke.
But if Styx goes in, it should be the everyone up to the members of the line-up through Kilroy. Anyone in the band before that 'classic' line-up is still responsible in some way for the success of the band and therefore should be included IMO.
Van Halen should definately get in there first. And that might be the group to open the floodgates
For J Geils, you really need to go back to their roots, BEFORE their eMpTyV heyday. These guys were a huge touring rnr boogie-woogie bar blues band
The Pretenders were a HUGE influence for years. A big part of the early punk scene and an inspiration to many women in rock.
The same reason Pat Benatar and Rush aren't in there either....
