Why do you ask? Are you looking for them or places to find them?

Some look familiar to me. Quite the list he has. Sorry he isn't trading for now.

I saw that guy's website too. There's a few others out there that have the similar list, but they want trades and good quality.

I'm looking for more video footage.

I love the old concerts, especially with "Born For Adventure" in the set list.

Just out of curiousity for those that collect these sort of things: Do you spend a lot of time watching them? If so, how much on the average per week? If not, do you collect just for the sense of having everything? I'm just purely curious!

What do you collect

Postby styxfanNH » Mon Oct 17, 2005 12:58 am

Ek, brought up an interesting question.

What Styx stuff do you collect?

Do you collect for the sake of collecting or do you use it/look at it on a regular basis?

I collect

Studio releases
bootleg cd/dvd recordings.
radio interviews
picks
passes

I listen to the cds and watch the dvd's every so often as the mood hits me.

picks and passes i look at regularly, but it's because I think it is unique.

I started to collect vinyl singles, but have stopped because there are just too many to get any real organization around.

I collect old radio interviews, boots, some unique vinyl, some old magazine articles, video. All would be Classic Styx area material. I also collect solo stuff of Dennis, some Tommy, a little of Glen and JY.

I will listen to the audio stuff in my car off and on maybe one to two times a month. Video stuff...not very often. But it is nice to watch every once in a while.

Video/DVD's, concert footage & interviews, yes I do watch them or have them in when I'm working on the computer.

Concert cd's - I listen to these quite often, especially the really old STYX concerts

Press kits - the old STYX ones. I have a nice collection going. I bring these out when friends come over.

Posters - these will be framed and going up in the rec room in the basement when it's finished (along with the Accept posters-LOL)

Promo cd's - I have a nice collection going. These are tucked away.

Mr. Roboto Pez - LOL This is very rare and is tucked away

Pictures & magazines - I have a lot of STYX photo albums and scrapbooks that I started when I was 11 (LOL)

STYX t-shirts - I wear the old concert ones for my little tv show

Dennis tour jacket - I do wear this one out and about, but I should probably put it away for safe keeping

Oh and also picks, passes and studio cds.

I have 3 rubbermaid bins of just STYX stuff, I'm sure I have more stuff, I'm not sure what. Maybe Bugsy or Sadie can remember what I have - LOL

Most of this stuff is for the sake of collecting.

Space concerns do not allow me to collect much.

I do collect DVD's, video tapes, interview CD's and DVD's, concert CD's and DVD's both of Classic Styx and Dennis. And a few other artists that interest me.

I have some setlists from DDY concerts and those are kind of cool to have. One I consider a true collector's item is the setlist from next to Dennis' keyboard that contains his handwritten notations for keyboard settings for his very first Lost Treasures show. Including the cryptic "12-String", LOL!

I think one of the best collector items is a tour book. I have the one I got when I saw the Beatles live in 1964! 8)

The concerts I have attended recently have not had tour books, which is a shame. Neil Diamond always had really nice ones for his concerts. Styx did too, just from what I have seen in other people's collections.

Congratulations! You're still the same.
