Dennis appeared on Keith Olberman's Countdown as the Number One Sox fan. He was quite charming as usual.

Question: Anyone seen any interviews with JY on the subject of the White Sox??? If so, post them too.

I gotta ask, does anyone even care what members of a 70s/80's rock band think about Baseball ??? ( present company excluded of course )

Just wondering, if the broadcasters need "fill" to keep the public interested while waiting for the series to begin.

and wondering if interviews of aging rock stars is "quality fill" ????

JY said on the interview with the Eagle on July of last year that he goes both ways when it comes to cheering for the Chicago baseball teams....

Actually yes, a lot of people do, especially when I get bombarded with phone calls saying that Dennis is on tv talking about the White Sox. He has a great tv personality and should be on more talk shows, just my opinion of course. My mom thinks he's great on everything he talks about.

And if you read the interview, Dennis himself points out the lack of "celebrity" fans the team has. Tag...he's it. Very tongue in cheek. I'd capitalize on it as well.

"Quality fill"....does such a thing exist anymore?

I think it is cool for a long-time Chicago White Sox fan, who also happened to be a singer in a very successful rock band, talks about "his" team. It certainly helps that he is both bright, clever, and quick-witted.

I don't have a problem with it. If some celebrity fan of the Astros shows up on TV, not a problem for me either.

OK, I just re-read this and, having second thoughts here. I draw the line at Paris Hilton and Tom and Katie. UCK!!

(Paris [vacant expression, of course]: "Baseball? What? What is it? That's hot.")

(Tom [leaping onto nearby couch]: "I LOVE this team! What can I say??!! I want to spend the rest of my LIFE with it. Teach it Scientology and everything!")

Making myself sick here.

And can we add Britney and Kevin to the list. I have no clue if they are fans...but aren't their 15 minutes of fame up already?

LOL, Bugsy...

Now, Suite - Tom Cruise and Britney Spears, while I do find them particularly annoying, they're hardly fly-by-night celebrities. (And Tom needs his head examined)

Paris Hilton's 15 minutes are nearly up, however.

Psst... I said it, not Suite. And while I realize Britney isn't fly by night, note...I said Britney and Kevin. They just creep me out together.

Paris...oh yeah, please somebody pull the plug.

Sadie, Suite...what's the difference? ;-)

My bad. I guess the celebrity photo goofed me up.

You're right about Britney and Kevin. She's over rated, but he's just plain-out creepy.

Paris Hilton is probably the only person who became famous from being famous. She used to hang out at celeb hot spots and beg paparazzi to take her picture. Years later, she's the hottest thing going. haha
