Going back to your orginal assembly line thought I agree with 'The Book'( first post) 100% on his observation about comparing the bands.

I will add one thing to what The Book said about their similarities. The two former 'MAIN' ingrediants of the bands Styx and Journey both have HUGE ties with the Chicago White Sox.

Bring on some moooooore baseball!!!!!!!

There's no real argument between Styx and Journey....How can there be as Journey are a tribute band now..aren't they? The voice has gone, unlike Styx!

The only voice in Journey thats gone is Steve Perry's. Perhaps shot is more appropriate. Augeri sounds more like classic Perry than Perry himself does anymore. The only difference is that Augeri sounds like he still has testicles.

 THAT was funny!!

Perry became the "only" voice of Journey, and for pretty good reason. but in reality, he was never the "only" voice...Gregg, Neal, Perry (don't forget Robert), and now Steve and Deen and Jon and Ross. There is more to it than a voice....

Could Aguiiilerra sound like Sam Cooke....I think not, the reason he's still got testicles is the soft leather trousers he wears.........real men wear denim!

I think if Perry will be back, if not his own album he'll guest sing on a few others, just my opinion.

Dude, you sound like a fucking idiot. Do you know ANYTHING about Journey? To say Augeri has NO balls, and "real men wear denim" WTF? Who cares if he sounds like Sam Cooke? He is not Sam Cooke!

Perry is the one who is and always has been ball-less.

Augeri is twice the person as Perry, and now a much better singer.

it's posts like yours that ruin message boards.

And why don't YOU have the balls to post this crap on the Journey board, rather sneak it in over here, where nothing of substance is ever discussed.

You piss me off.

Yeah, Journey are a tribute band..ok...Try going to a show first before letting your elephant mouth overrun your hummingbird brain.

If Journey are a tribute band, does that make Styx a garage band?

Again, bring your Journey comments over to the appropriate board. No one here on the Styx board knows anything about Journey.

Deen WILL NOT be singing more next year either. Another lame post.

How do YOU know that he won't be? YOU don't think he'll be singing 1 or 2 more songs? I don't think MY posts are THAT lame, well, not most of them!!!

Why defend someone for posting lame Journey quotes on a styx board.

You know all styx..great..You don't know all Journey..

Send me my fucking hat.

Augeri needs only to sound like one person...the lead singer of Journey...and he does just fine in that capacity.

Augeri is a 'real' man. Real men follow through on their commitments like completing a tour that many employees and fans are counting on. Real men value their friends and don't fire them to produce Raised on Radio. Real men realize that being a part of a band means putting individual glory aside for the sake of the whole.

I always have and still do think that Perry is one of the greatest voices ever. That's all well and good, but he has over the last 20 years shown himself to be the band equivalent of Terrell Owens.

I'm not defending anyone. There are a lot of people that post on this board that posts on the Journey board that know a lot about Journey. Like Monker for example. He posts on here and he posts on the Journey board, he knows a lot about Journey and same with Eric (Abitaman)

You know all styx..great..You don't know all Journey..

I know somethings about Styx and less about Journey.

Send me my fucking hat.

I'll send it no problem.

Why should Steve sound like Sam Cooke. That was Perry's thing: to rip off Sam! (Retaining your testicles seems like a much smarter move than "being a real man" as you say...impotence is not funny!! Or manly!!)

I agree, with Deen needing surgery to repair one of his vocal chords, I think you will see a little less singing from here for a while.

Poor Favre. His team has stopped competing.

It's going to take 3 or 4 drafts and a new coach to turn this around.

GB isn't getting Reggie Bush, I'll tell you that right now.

I wouldn't even call it a team!! How embarrassing. I would've benched all the 1st string and teach them a lesson.

It's going to take 3 or 4 drafts and a new coach to turn this around.

New coach for sure!! No offense, but it's needed

Yeah, I figured that. This should be interesting.

Wow. 48-3. The Vikes may have had their asses handed to them a couple times this year, but nothing like this circus! The Pack made the Vikings look talented, tonight! ;)

<----NOT looking foward to a game in Baltimore next Sunday.

They said that about Pittsburgh too. The game I would REALLY love to be at is the Bears in the Dome New Year's Day. I'm actually going to be in the cities that weekend. I should gather my pennies...

Then...CNN is playing up some stupid statistic about the Favre to Sanders interception being a record between the oldest duo involved in an interception. WTF? Slow news day?

Asses kicked??? UGH more than that, still what an embarrassment. I've seen high school football teams that were better then them tonight.

Yes, very slow news day and they knew it.
