You're welcome everyone :) My friend made the template for the card, I just couldn't resist sending it out - LOL

Coaster or keeper?? LOL

I'm hoping everyone else will receive their gift today, except for in Canada, I think that takes longer.

Yes, thank you so much Suite. :D

I've been listening and enjoying all afternoon. I'm so impressed with the vocals. How could I have let myself get away from this sound for so long? :?

I guess some people won't be happy if even a christmas song sounds like Renegade or Queen of Spades.

Dennis has several songs that grew on me and I grew to like them. His Christmas song was one of them. (Off the top of my head, "Unanswered Prayers" was one I disliked at first and now count among my favorites).

His Christmas song is a nice one. It does not have "Christmas Classic" written all over it, but a few listens and I have come to be quite fond of it.

Putting away all my Chirstmas music now for next year. :D

Darren or anybody and everybody,

What did you think of "First Time"????? I love this version!!

I had all those clips sent to me and my great friend Bugsy put all those on cd for me so I could send those songs out to everyone. It was getting too hard to send the files by email.

I though First Time was the best of the songs on that alternate CDR. It showcased his voice. The song was much less of a sappy ballad without all the production and fifteen part harmonies.

Of course, I'm a BIG BIG fan of stripped down productions of songs. Sometimes the quality of a song gets lost in the production and how it's presented (listen to Damn Yankees entire first album... great songwriting, but stuck in the 80's hair production style). Stripped down, it's a bit more timeless.

I totally agree. I know there's a few more people on here that liked this version of "First Time", but won't admit on the board (FROY) - LOL

I like the stripped down versions of these songs and other songs too!!

I have a few more songs/medley's that were sent to me, I just have to find them on my I-Tunes and somehow get them transferred. I have old Styx when they were in the radio studio, those were the best.

I liked that in-studio First Time for two reasons. His keyboard work is so terrific. And his voice is deeper and not so .... well, anyway. It is better on that version.

I had to find that medley Suite was referring to...there have been a LOT of those, LOL! I love his Cartman "you guys!!" in the middle of CSA. It is so unexpected and funny.

Well, that doesn't surprise me. Good thing there are other bands and singers who do decent Christmas songs. My favorite:
