I would love to go. Where better to be in April than...New Jersey? If it were Atlanta, well maybe. In all seriousness, doesn't seem feasible at the time. Probably only get one Road Trip, want it to be a tad closer.

I would take a year off my life to see Dennis, Glen, and Rik. The night they play together we have a district baseball game. I know what I sure as hell want to do.

Rip me all you want, but outside of Dennis Glen is twice as good as any other member Styx has ever had. He blows Tommy sooo far off the map its bowling alley time. Dennis said this back in 91,' how great Glen is and how incredible the current rendition of Styx is' Edge of th Century Styx' and it was NOT hype.

I am soooooooo pumped Dennis and Glen are back together. Its great people can forgive!! Someone, PLEEEAAASSE boot this concert for me.

I sooo want to do what I did back in high school and skip my game to attend this event.

Damn, I hate being a responsible adult. It sucks!!!!

Finally, Rik freaking Triumph Emmett. How awesome!!! I saw Triumph twice back in the day. I have also seen him solo. AWESOME!!!

I guess this puts you down in the "yes, I like this idea" category, Yogi? It really would be fun for a lot of us to go to this, if it would work out.

Too bad it is not in New York City. We might all have to walk from the airport, but it might be fun once we got into Manhattan! :lol:

Glen might be talented but I don't think he's ever written anything as signifcant as "Crystal Ball", "Renegade" or "Blue Collar Man".

There are tons of talented session guys out there, but until you can write songs of that calibre, you're just not quite on that level.

Classic classic songs.

Sometimes Love was number one on Billboard for two weeks in 1992 (I looked it up). Spirit of a Boy...was number two on the Billboard country charts in 1999. I didn't look up how long it stayed there. In fact, in an early "Dear Glen" letter, Tommy submitted a note jokingly asking him if he would write him a number one song.

I guess it's how you define success. "Disco Duck" was a #1 song also.

Not to say I'm comparing that with this, but looking at chart success as a sole barometer for the success of a song can be dangerous territory.

There are tons of songs that are timeless classics that didn't have much chart success.

I'd much prefer to look at how a song endures the test of time and it's overall impact.

And thus, I think classic rock staples like those mentioned above are more significant in the long run.

Interesting. & I don't disagree necessarily, but you're not comparing apples to apples either. For example, Sometimes Love Ain't Enough, to ME, is far less obnoxious than say...Babe. Both hit #1, both are sappy ballads. Both songwriters deserve their credit for writing songs that made it that far, that's all I'm sayin'.

I think Watching the World Go By is just as enjoyable as Crystal Ball.

Go purchase Welcome To Hollywood give it a good listen and then tell me what you think. After that purchase Poolakville & Retrospective.

Solo, Tommy's Seven Deadly Zens may come close. Nothing else he has done.

I saw the Edge tour and Glen RULED. Dennis let Glen be a major part of the the Styx experience. From 1999- 2003 Tommy and JY held Glen on a short leash. When Glen was given the spotlight he was BYYYYY FAARRRR the best entertainer of the entire bunch( Gowan second).

I like the hell out of Tommy, but Glen is a better songwriter, and much better entertainer, and equal as a singer.

To me this concert ( Dennis Lost Treasures, Glen & Rik ) will be much better than the Styx, Journey, REO Main Event tour.

I just hope I get a chance to see it!!!

I just wanna go on record to say that I do NOT want the "rest of the guys" to "follow Glen's lead" and go back with Dennis. I think a reunion show or two is cool (maybe), but that's it, if at all. Nostalgia is one thing. Train wrecks are another. There is nothing wrong with the equations as they are now.

I know they ALL moved on now and it would be very uncomfortable on stage, but maybe just one more time. I keep going back and forth on this one now. Other bands have reunited one time recently in which no one ever thought they would get back together.
