Aaaaah, time to sit down for a drink after a good shopping day!

Usually I have a hard time shopping for clothes but not this time! Bought a pair of pants -hope it isn't the same as you have SnakeLady; we'd be able to dress completely alike if we also wear those t-shirts!  I also got a jacket lined with Muppet fur and a sweater. All on sale! :D

Yes, look at it as bleached Fozzy Bear fur. ;)

Yeah, but I think I'll just try to avoid wearing those pants with a t-shirt I know Snakey already owns, because now that I think of it we already have several identical t-shirts!

Which is kind of weird, considering our telepatic abilities! Or would it be exactly because of that?

Greetings all,

It's been a while since I popped in for a drink but as I have reason to celebrate I thought I might have a quiet Chivas Regal Royal Salute :D

This week I finish my current job and head back to Oz for a holiday...can't wait to thaw out and catch up with friends and family :D :D

I will only be home for a short time however as I have a new job starting in Shanghai in February that offers MUCH better conditions than my current teaching job...basically western conditions (double present salary, 12 weeks holiday a year, professional development opportunities etc) and a bit of job security in that the contract is for 2 1/2 years with gratuity at completition and options to renew. A very nice package!!

When I was in Australia, I always said I wanted to head north to teach...I just didn't realise how far north I would go!! China has been wonderful and I am very happy that I am able to stay here for a while longer. The fact that the contract carries me through to the Beijing Olympics is also a big plus...will be awesome to be a part of the atmosphere and hopefully I will get to see a few events!!

Hope all is well with everyone and that you all had a safe and happy holiday season

Thanks, MM! All is well in Amsterdam! Great to see all is well with you... and even getting better; congrats! :D Cheers, and enjoy your holiday!

12 weeks off a year... sometimes I long to be back in highschool again, I miss those seemingly endless holidays. In my memory the summers were much warmer back then as well...
*sighs and fills up glass again*

SnakeLady and I went out shopping today. I tried to find some boots, but had no luck this time. And when I came across a CD in the record store I wasn't sure whether I already owned it... the songtitles didn't look very familiar. Embarrassing experience... more so because I do indeed own said CD... What's even worse is that this is the second time this has happened to me the past weeks... Anyway, I'm glad I trusted my doubt and left it at the store!

No kidding Thomasha! I had a nasty headache myself as well when I woke up. I feel fine right now though!

You know, with all those girls involved, Swedish chess sounds a little different from the games of chess played elsewhere!

Just curious, does anybody know where our barkeeper disappeared to? I need a drink.

I guess our bartender had better not stay away on holiday too long, otherwise SnakeLady will have taken over his job! ;)

I'd like to order a drink as well, a nice scotch to relax with. It's been too busy at work lately.

How did you like the Whitesnake audiofiles, SnakeLady? Was DC doing a lot of high notes, or was it mainly the deep sexy voice happening?

Is it possible to mix one drop of every liquor ever created in a 2-ounce shot glass? Today's been a terrible day, both at work, and when I came home. I was gonna go see a band with my bro, and that band cancelled their gig. I finally have a weekend off, and it will be wasted in front of the tv...again.

Oh well. Anyone up for some NFL Football?

I very much doubt it.

Apparently a brewery in Fort Worth is responsible for your rain, VH101... Came across this on a weblog!

http://www.dfw.com/mld/dfw/13681490.htm

There must be a ritual we can perform to enhance the timing of the rain, when you need to work outside. ;) More tequila perhaps? :D

Gosh darnit, we needed this rain! I didn't have to spend much time out in it either! Maybe now Texas won't burn... even 'tho it's better to burn out than to fade away...

Thanks, Serendipity (without serenity you can't spell serendipity... I love that!), for posting that article. We had suspected that the major brewers were conspiring to create a drought, thus increasing their sale of beer!

Football was really dull today. It was nice to see the New England Patriots' loss from last week avenged, when the Denver Broncos fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers today. The Seattle Seahawks are well on their way to winning (it'll be their first Super Bowl appearence in the history of the franchise.)

That's all from here. Two weeks to the Super Bowl, then there will be nothing else to watch on TV until the NHL Hockey playoffs start in April.
