Feel by Chicago.

I just downloaded it from iTunes last night. They did a great job on this song. It’s from Chicago XXX. This would have been a good song for Dennis when he was with Styx. If this song doesn’t become an AC hit then there is no hope for other bands of that era. :?

my thoughts of the day

GUNS 'N' ROSES PATIENCE

(1..2...1,2,3,4)
Shed a tear 'cause I'm missing you
I'm still alright to smile
Girl, I think about you every day now
Was a time when I wasn't sure
But you set my mind at ease
There is no doubt you're in my heart now
Said woman take it slow
It'll work itself out fine
All we need is just a little patience
Said sugar make it slow
And we'll come together fine
All we need is just a little patience
(inhale) Patience...
Ooh, oh, yeah

Sit here on the stairs
'Cause I'd rather be alone
If I can't have you right now, I'll wait dear
Sometimes, I get so tense
But I can't speed up the time
But you know, love, there's one more thing to consider
Said woman take it slow
Things will be just fine
You and I'll just use a little patience
Said sugar take the time
'Cause the lights are shining bright
You and I've got what it takes to make it
We won't fake it, Oh never break it
'Cause I can't take it

...little patience, mm yeah, ooh yeah,
Need a little patience, yeah
Just a little patience, yeah
Some more pati... (ence, yeah)
I've been walking these streets at night
Just trying to get it right (Need some patience, yeah)
It's hard to see with so many around
You know I don't like being stuck in a crowd (Could use some patience, yeah)
And the streets don't change but maybe the name
I ain't got time for the game
'Cause I need you (Patience, yeah)
Yeah, yeah well I need you
Oh, I need you (Take some patience)
Whoa, I need you (Just a little patience is all we need)
Ooh, this ti- me....

Here's my song of the day from one of my favorite 80's band, Honeymoon Suite.

"Feel It Again" by Honeymoon Suite

If you would just be sensible...you'd find me indispensable
I pray deep down to destiny
that it places you with me....
whoa...wanting you here...in the sheets
Wandrin' around incomplete......
Waiting so long....To

Chorus:
Feel it again (feel it again)
I thought that this heart would never mend
To feel it again I know this is the living end
To feel it again (feel it again)
I thought that this heart would never mend
To feel it again I know this is the living end

Another scratched or scribbled note
to handsome men in overcoat
Deception right in front of me
A jealous fantasy...
whoa...something that sets you apart...
tightens your grip on my heart...
Don't ever let it go....
'Till I

Repeat Chorus

Bridge:
All that I know (to feel it again)
is people may come and people may go
I don't really care (to feel it again)
as long as you're there
as long as you're there

Yes, it's one of my favorite by them!! I love their album "The Big Prize". I also love "What Does It Take", "Wounded" and "Words In the Wind". I see that they're touring Canada!! I would love for them to come down here and have a concert. I guess I can add them to my summer concert series - LOL

I love a lot of Canadian bands!! I love Rush, Loverboy and Triumph all Canadian!! Some people (on here-LOL) think I even have a Canadian accent, eh!! LOL

Hey Moon Beam, glad to see your posting on here :)

Every time I hear that Journey song I think of Caddyshack, Rodney at his best. I heard the great Jimmy Buffet doing the volcano song the other day on the radio, and my mind flashed back to one of his great songs I use to request at a local bar back in the 80s all the time...Why don't we get drunk and screw.

Moon Beam, you used to go roller skating too???? I used to go a lot during junior high and high school - LOL I just went a few months ago, 15 years later, and did pretty good. I can still stand up and still go backwards. I used to go to the arcades too and play a lot of Centipede. I try to go every month to the arcade to see if I can beat my scores - LOL

Oh how I miss those days.......

I think that the Counting Crows version is the only one that gets a lot of radio play, Suite. I love it also.

"Hey farmer farmer put away your DDT, I don't care about spots on my apples, just leave me the birds and bees". That bop bop was sung very nicely by Vanessa Carlton, I have her first CD, very talented young lady.

I hear out in the country by Three dog night the other day, I love the chorus, it was going through my mind today..."Before the breathing air is gone, before the sun is just a bright spot in the night time"

I agree.....Vanessa Carltons additions on that song were
awsome

And as for Three Dog Night.....I was raised on them
as a child and now they are in my top ten.
Out In The Country is one of my top three fave
songs
My Dad used to say that song was the one that brought
me to mind most

"Sure As I'm Sitting Here" is another fave
