What's wrong with Rainbow in the Dark? I like it.

Like Last in Line for that matter too.

That video must of cost around $2 to shoot.....

Stick Dio on a roof make him wear fury boots and have the guitar player walk down the street with a hooker.....maybe the hooker had a special that day and worked for 50c

Ha! Yeah, you've got a point. I just happen to like it. The part with Viv coming out of some building for no reason with a guitar, shredding, is just funny to me.

I think they stuck ol' Ron on the roof and shot him from above to hide the fact that he's a midget.

I have found one can get into some trouble dissing some videos because there is always someone who loves the videos you hate.

That said, I am a fan of the humorous ones mostly. I love:

Phil Collins - Don't You Lose My Number
Julie Brown - The Homecoming Queen Has Got a Gun
Genesis - Jesus He Knows Me

I love a lot of Weird Al's parody videos.

I love some sentiment, if the video is done right, like Desert Moon, Foreigner's I Don't Want to Live Without You, and Madonna's Take A Bow.

Love the high tech ones too like:

Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer
Talking Heads - And She Was
Godley and Creme - Cry

And I love eye candy! Nearly any Duran Duran video would qualify!

There are so many bad videos, no way to start listing them.

Hey, I love Journey's Separate Ways videos!!

My favorite videos:

OMG, Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" is one of the best.

All the Dennis ones, especially Desert Moon.

All the Styx ones, especially Too Much Time On My Hands and Music Time

I love the Peter Gabrial and the Weird Al videos too.

Bugsy, I LOVE the eye candy videos of Duran Duran too. Kip Winger is eye candy too, those tight jeans!!! OMG

WORSE:

David Lee Roth - California Girls - LOL

I hated the song, "You Can Call Me Al" by Paul Simon until I saw that video. LOVE Chevy! Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden is another cool video...extremely BIZARRE, but cool.

Probably the Worst Video I have EVER seen is JY's Wild Dogs In The Night.

Show Me The Way is about my Top Video.

Another Great Video and I dont know who sings it but the song is called ' My Name Is Mud'- Its a classic. I can still see this redneck spitting Levi- Classic!!!

Also REALLY liked GNR's November Rain

And finally, Desert Moon would of been MUCH MUCH better video if Dennis would of been pushing, or trying to carry a piano on his back. Why did he want to be Bruce??? He is 10 times the talent. Then again Dennis didnt have the gift towrite such classic dribble as Tunnel Of Love & Dancing In The Dark!!

Hey! We talked about this before! Dennis had to have some place to carry the beer!! Why not the guitar case????

Actually, Yogi, knowing Dennis' sense of humor I can see him going for your idea.

I loved the funny ones, even if I did not like the songs themselves:

Susudio (love Phil at the beginning, "Nice crowed eh")
Music Time (I love Big things)
More Love by Kim Carnes (directed by Monkee Mike Nesmith)
All of Wierd Al's: I love Rocky Road, his parody on the Give it away now
Video killed the Radio Star (so cheaply done its hysterical)
Our House (forgot the name of this band, but very Monty Python)
Riding the storm out (live complete with 80s explosions)
1985 (newer one, don't know the name of the band, but funny)
Everlasting love (the mummy part was funny)

Hated

Sweet Dreams by the Eurythimics
All of Madonna's videos
In your wildest dream by the Moody Blues
In the air tonight
Too Much Time on My Hands
I'm on fire (springsteen)
Old Time Rock and Roll (to much Cruise in his panties)

I'm kind of drawing a blank right now, but I'd have to say off hand that "November Rain" by "Guns 'N Roses" and "Too Much Time On My Hands" are a couple of my favorites.

"Too Much Time" is my favorite Styx video, anyway. You can tell it's from the very early days of MTV, but it flows very well with the music.

"Cryin'"- Aerosmith: I've always loved this one. It takes me back to high school.. same thing with "Mary Jane's Last Dace", by Tom Petty(although I'm not sure if this video is cool or really disturbing).

I like "Desert Moon" from Dennis, but I don't care for the talking; and the football sequence always cracks me up(check out the face Dennis makes). I don't know, in that video, it's like all of Dennis' old friends were supposed to be aging jocks, and it's hard to picture Dennis really hanging with that kind of crowd.

"Stranger In Town"- Toto This one kind of reminds me of "Show Me The Way", but it's been so long since I've seen "SMTW".

I know the subject is supposed to be rock videos, but I really like the concept of Toby Keith's "How Do You Like Me Now?".. just had to throw that one in here.

Let me see, some of the worst? How about "Pretty Woman"- Van Halen? I actually like their take on the song, but the video..

Another one that comes to mind is "Sometimes A Fantasy" by Billy Joel. The video involves Billy making a telephone call from a hotel; trying to catch the interest of an attractive woman, and she has no interest in him, but when they show her "fantasy", it's just Billy with a beard and slicked back hair.. it kind of falls in the so bad it's funny category.

"Tell Her About It"- Billy Joel: Just a horrible video..

I like:
Hysteria - Def Leppard
Desert Moon - Dennis DeYoung

I'm not much of a video person, so it's a pretty short list. I haven't really watched them very much since the mid-80s, but I remember being quite annoyed by several of them at the time.
