Styx Trivia #1 - For a Prize

Postby SuiteMadameBlue » Sat Apr 08, 2006 6:38 am

OMG, time to wake this board up a little bit.

Everyone(including Sadie & Bugsy) can play, first one with the right answer receives a prize. A prize that has to do with DDY or Styx or Tommy.

What was the last city that Styx played live in concert with Dennis DeYoung in the line up? Not the CMN.

This Trivia closes Sunday night.

Darren, good answer, but I'm sorry it wasn't Quebec.

Thank you for playing, please try again.

I'm surprised no one else is guessing, it's not that hard to guess a city - LOL

Ding, Ding, Ding, We have a Winner !!!!!

Congratulations, The Book Wins!!!

I have that it was Seattle, Washington as the last concert performed live with Dennis in the group.

Kelseyville, CA was the third last city.

Jimmy, I found this on one of your older posts - LOL I thought for sure you would've had it - LOL

I did some research and this was the last date I could find. If someone has other information, please let me know.

I'll take Seattle as the winner since they're close together, either one would've won. Good call. I suppose it's the same with most of these cities and the suburbs they play in.

Seattle/Tacoma

OMG, you bet I'm holding this against you big time!!

Just kidding you know I like you a lot. I actually copied/pasted it from another site and didn't read it over.

I don't mind at all when people tell me that I'm wrong, thanks, except when it comes to my betting - LOL

That's right, I gave you that info but was still keeping Kelseyville in the mind. I meant to say Seattle! Darn. Well, I'm glad to see someone else will get a cool prize now.

Thanks a million. I keep forgetting to send you dates when I find them.

I'm hoping (fingers crossed) that I will have EVERY concert date that Styx performed from day 1 including the dates/venues of TW4 and the Accordian guy & The Two Brothers (LOL). I think it would be great, well for me, to see all this information of the past. The Milwaukee dates are pretty easy to find, they played at this little club called Teddy's quite frequent bringing their equipment up in the old VW (LOL) and from what I'm finding out: one of my friends, friends (LOL) has every date listed that Styx played back in the very early 70's in this area.

I think my site has the most complete set of dates prior to 2000 that I have seen anywhere. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find old dates prior to the internet.

There will be a major overhaul and update this summer, I'm just trying to figure out what changes I need to do and how to make them easy to access.

I still have 20 dates or so that I have to add, but am really busy right now.

You have the ONLY site with the most dates anywhere on the internet.

The only way to find these old dates is to find out who they toured with and check out their sites. Of course those bands have everything listed since day one, but NOT Styx!! UGH

Just wait until you have my articles since the early 80's, you'll be busy for a looooooooong time - LOL

I love your site !!!!

I like finding and keeping track of these too. Some groups have almost complete tour date archives provided on sites. But others, like Styx, are harder to come by. One site that kept Kansas dates and setlists(A Glimpse of Home) seems to have been abandoned. I was supplying alot of dates to this site as I came across them.
Glad your on the job Styxfan! Keep up the good work. I'll send any more that I find.
