Well, NIG missed my point, and so did you. I'm not saying it's a waste of your time, or my time, or NIG's times. How many posts somebody makes IS irrelevant. The number of times Andrew has to give people a vacation is...THAT makes the forum a waste of HIS time.

I see what you're saying. But these forums and the Noticeboard generate a lot of traffic to mr.com as well, which results in more impressions, which results in Andrew being able to charge higher rates for advertising. The community aspect of mr.com is one of the reasons people check it daily. I am sure if Andrew thought they were a waste of his time, they would be gone.

No need to break out the claws, kitten. If people enjoy posting messages, and it's not hurting anyone, how is it a waste of time?

It becomes a waste of time when what seems like a large number of people refuse to listen to the moderator's/owner's direction and feel they can do whatever they want to anyway...because of free speech, and blah, blah, blah. So, why put up with it? It becomes a waste of time to put up with it. I've been there and won't do it again.

I think you guys are on the same page now....and Monker's second paragraph i could not agree more with. And it is NOT free speech in here, it is a private place where we're all allowed to post. But if the owner opts to censor certain items or let certain items go, it is HIS prerogative.

As I said about BT, if all the owner wants is trafic, he could start a porn section. That will generate more traffic thena message forum.

The owner of web space should decide what the focus is. If forums are more of a distraction from what the REAL focus of the web space is - then they shouldn't even exist.

I don't think it will happen that way..The only people that follow Froy's lead are the people who usually respond to him and so far they have been O.K with a point-counterpoint discussion..

I really dont think we have any kool-aid drinkers here.......and no Jim Jones type personality who inspires such blind loyalty regardless of the viewpoints they espouse. If someone steps out of line here , they are usually admonished by others - post haste

Usually Adam makes his appearance when Froy's on here too. Both have been gone for a while at the same time - LOL What's up with that??
