I am not a big Toto fan, only really know the hits and I do have FIB. My fave is Hold the Line, and 2nd fave is 99.

What do you think of FIB? Has it been released in the US yet or do you have the Frontiers version?

I'm looking forward to hearing but was hoping for news on the US release.
They are fine musician's as you said. My favorite albums are the Lukather fronted Tambu and Kingdom of Desire, probably the hardest rocking thing they've done.

Glad you like Toto, Moonbeam. I loved 99 when it came out. Such a well written song. Great piano hook! One of my other favorites is Waiting For Your Love off of Toto IV. Great uptempo dance tune and Bobby just SINGS HIS ASS OFF on that one.
Ahh, lots of classic songs. Hard to know where to begin. Fergie singing Carmen don't you ever leeeeave! on Carmen and that crashing drum roll from Jeff! Luke's scorching guitar playing. The show stopping Better World when I saw them at A.C. Hilton Casino in 1999. Several fans and myself rushing the stage at the same show to wave our fists in the air for Girl...Goodbye!

Favorite Toto song

Postby steelerfanmike » Fri Apr 28, 2006 7:46 am

Tough to choose -- I've been a fan for nearly 30 years.

St. George and the Dragon would probably be my favorite, followed closely by Afraid Of Love/Lovers In The Night (I know they're 2 seperate songs, but they're bridged together on the album and I have a hard time seperating the two mentally).

Africa is definately my favorite of course. That seems a little too mainstream. My next would have to be I Won't Hold You Back.

"Home of the Brave"

Having the band come out and do this as their encore took me over the top.
All concert long I had been itching to hear it.

Fav singles...

Postby jim » Thu Nov 30, 2006 8:42 pm

I guess I should put my opinion in :)

I gotta say that TOTO's Falling In Between changed alot of things for me, quickly became one of my top fav TOTO albums.

My top 5*:

1. Spiritual Man
2. Melanie
3. King of the world
4. The other side
5. Change of heart.

* I may have more than one set of top 5's :)
Regards,
Jim.
