Hi, this is me Suite since I can't remember my password I have to use Marks account - LOL

It was a great concert last night, it was amazing to watch Dennis and Glen interact on stage and to hear great songs, all worth it for me.

It was a landmark performance and I have a "feeling" that they might be doing more shows together. OR you never know if they might be working on a few songs together, anything can happen

OMG Ash, what the hell are you doing on the computer now??? LOL And your other posts, weren't you driving at that time??? LOL

Zan, Queenie and Joey are wonderful people!! Love them!!!

Monker like usual you're jealous !!!!! Someday you'll be cool as us - ha ha ha ha LOL

Going to hit the poker tables now!!

The show was awesome.

Nice to see the acoustic set.

Kinda weird yelling at Laurie face to face. LOL

It is apparent that the hatchet has been buried and these guys are ready to move on with the collaboration and playing of great music.

to say that you would have been disappointed only says that you don't understand the importance of these guys getting together.
These guys rocked.

Glen has this intrinsic way of brinnging a high energy to the stage. And it was evident with the way Dennis was performing.

I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

I don't recall ever saying it was, Ash. I'm glad you're happy tho. :)

There seems to be some malfunction with the way my post was delivered. I'm not under some impression that Glen got jipped or was upstaged or anything. I don't think any other Glen fans got jipped either, as long as they're happy, I'm happy. All I said was that *I'm* glad *I* didn't fork out hundreds of bucks to see this show when Glen only sang 5 or 6 songs. That's all. The way it read (to me) was that they would be sharing the stage, like a duet-sorta thing. That wasn't the case. I would have been disappointed, not resentful of Dennis or anyone else who didn't feel like me.

So how was the three some with Rik Emmit??

Did Dennis/Glen set stay the same?

To me,the Rik, Glen, DENNIS concert is the concert event of the last 15 years. Damn I wished I could of seen that.

I hope ALLLL of you had a GREAT time and I look forward to a detailed review of the show.

Any QUALITY recording devices in attendance??

Did Dennis's crew record any of these LANDMARK concerts??

Rick sounded REALLY good. He hit all of the high notes and was just really, really nailing his whole performance. Dennis had more energy as well likely due to the venue. The crowd last night was much more responsive.

Thanks to Suite and one of her friends, a group of us went back stage and got to meet up with Dennis, Suzanne and Glen. Thats the second time I spoke to Dennis but the first time I'd spoken to Glen. What a great guy. Overall this has been a tremendous trip. I'm a bit pressed for time as I just got up since the people in the next room kept me up half the night with their partying. More to come once I figure out where the hell I'm staying today/tonight.

Yes, it was the same basic set from the night before, but what a damn difference a day makes.

Opening night jitters were certainly over and it was like good times all around.

Lots of genuine smiles and interaction between the two of them. Like I said earlier, I hope this is only the beginning for these two.

Just to clarify a couple of things.

Glen and Dennis played a four song set early in the show. Two songs were from what was supposed to be Edge2. Watching the World Go By and All For Love. All for Love was written by Dennis and Glen which may explain why it has never been released. This easily would have been a top 10 song. Hope Dennis finds a way to put it on his new cd, it was sweet...

Also, Glen came out in the snd half of the show to do Edge of the Century, then played with the band as the missing 2nd guitarist that many of has felt have been missing in Dennis' sound. What a difference.... It can't be explained.

Also Glen's high energy performance style really allowed Dennis to loosen up and play the stage a bit more. It was definitely a different feel from the other musicians on the stage as Glen bounced around an brought them together. Everyone seemed to bring it up a notch with Glen on stage.

I know this was a trial of sorts for the two of them, but if things are as they appeared, and Glen wants to hit the road for 30 showas a year or so, it would certainly bring a whole new dimension to the show and be to the benefit of everyone. Dennis, Glen and Fans alike.

All I can say is WOW!!!!!

Great show last night at the HOB in AC! Rik Emmitt opening with "Magic Power" was received very well. I had forgotten what a good song "All in a Days Work" was from Edge of the Century.

Glad I made the trip to see it!

I thought this was supposed to be some big reunion?

OMG, you don't read anything that I posted before about this show, like a few months ago - LOL

Didn’t they do any of those lost songs?

Yes 2 songs, one is on Glen's new album/cd !! OMG YOGI did you read, Glen has a NEW cd out!!!!!!!!

Didn’t Dennis let Glen play any of his own songs from his solo CD’s?

I forgot, did I post that ?? I knew he was going to play Glen songs, but I didn't know if they were going to be "Glen" songs for "Glen" songs from the Styx era - LOL I'm always the last to know!! LOL

It sounds like the DDY “Styx the Musical” with Glen being trotted out as a side show. I hope I’m wrong. I would hope DDY would have let Glen do a little more since he used his name in the ads along with the name Styx as usual.

OMG, I think you miss me ChicagoStyx!! LOL Glen being trotted as a side show????? I don't think so. Don't start trouble there, eh!! LOL

OMG, no!! Why would Dennis and Glen play other songs that they didn't write? These fricken great songs were written by those 2.

JY has nothing to do with anything for Edge 2.

If you went to the show then you would know why the Edge 2 cd didn't get released!!!

You'll all hear the song soon enough!!!

Bugsy, reporting in from wet, wet, yukky Atlantic City.

My review of Jersey The State will stay with me. It is spring here and the trees are gorgeous, but as for the roads, directions, etc. to get around and actually SEE the sights leave a LOT to be desired!

I cannot add much to the reviews here.

I see a few of you felt Glen was "cheated" and were glad you didn't go. Your loss. He sure seemed very happy to be there. He was quite upbeat onstage and backstage. He sang with Dennis on songs he had not done for years and seemed very thrilled to do so. And Dennis seemed very pumped to have Glen onstage with him.

The songs from Edge 2 were just terrific. All For Love was beyond great. One of those songs that grabs you right away and does not let go for one second. Dennis and Glen together were simply amazing. I was stunned by how good it was.

Like NH said, there was a special energy between the two guys onstage, especially once the first show was under their belts. HOB was rocking. Dennis just caught fire, to me.

Oh...and this guy...Dennis DeYoung? I have never, ever heard a voice like that in my life. Two shows in a row and he was dead solid perfect on every song. Powerful, beautiful, not enough adjectives to describe how good this guy is onstage.

I guess I DID add a few things, eh? Oops! Talking Cheeselanguage here!

Footnote: Dennis, Suzanne and Glen along with Tim were absolutely lovely to us backstage. We joked around with all of them and they all seemed in great spirits.

If "All For Love" does not get recorded in some fashion it is a crime of huge proportions. This song needs to get OUT THERE!!

Bugsy

It mystifies me that anyone would thing Glen got cheated when he did 5 songs in one show when Tommy and JY only let him do one song per show. Can someone frickin explain that to me?

Oh - and he DID play one of his solo songs. Watching The World Go By.... Which while it WAS to be on Edge 2, it's also the title track of a solo CD that Glen was selling at the show right next to Welcome To Hollywood. Did I mention they were selling these right beside DDY's stuff at the merchandise table for the show? Wow sounds like a rip to me right?

So stuff it naysayers. You're wrong again. I can tell you from talking to Glen that he looked happy and sounded great.

It sounds to me like Dennis treated Glen like the superstar that he is.

I have not a clue what goes on behind the scenes. The one thing that I do know is that when Tommy first joined Styx( Crystal Ball ) Dennis ( group leader) let Tommy have the title track plus two other songs(album only had 7 songs total).

Dennis did the exact same thing with Glen back for the Edge album.

Dennis CLEARLY was the superstar of Styx. Yet to the public ( album songs & concerts) he TOTALLY spread the wealth among the other members. He allowed Glen to shine 100 times more than Tommy and JY ever dreamed of doing.

'We Can Work It Out'.... What a fantastic song to open with!!!!

Any recording of the concert going on???

I would sure love to purchase Glens new material is it on his website??, or was it a concert only sale??

How awesome was Rik?? How long did he play for? What was his set list?

What was Dennis/Glen set list??

I am glad that you all had a GREAT time!! I wished that I could of been there!!!!!

A setlist would be great to see I guess they are keeping it a secret.
Anyway I would imagine more shows like this is the future and this could be a door opener for Dennis even if its a small one.
Could you Imagine a full tour ?
