Postby froy » Tue Apr 25, 2006 4:07 am

Dennis DeYoung Glen Burtnick Chuck Panazzo Kyle the drummer and Hank Horton

or

Larry Gowan Ricky Phillips Todd Sucherman JY and Tommy Shaw

Looks like we have a situation here

My vote is with the first listing.

Nice to see that you finally could make a post about Styx in one shape or form opposed to Neil Diamond or politics.

And Chuck is with Tommy and JY, so your hypothetical is flawed.

Ash, I didn't hear the story of the bad blood between Chuck and Dennis but suspected there might be some. What was the story there?

I assume you took your name from the character in Alien. I liked that movie too!

How can we stop it?

Ash: You can't...

OMG Froy when do you give this up and why I am I even posting about this - UGH????

Anyway Styx was: Dennis, JY, Chuck, John P. and John C.

then the departure of John C., due to his "issues" which will be coming out soon, led to the hiring of Tommy

Styx then became: Dennis, JY, Chuck, John P and Tommy

then with John P, becoming ill and not being able to finish the album, Todd was on board to finish or actually do the drumming on the album. Then go on tour. After John's death

Styx officially became: Dennis, JY, Chuck, Tommy and John P

Then Tommy went to form Damn Yankees with the blessings of the remaining members of Styx. Then during the Edge era

Styx officially became: Dennis, JY, Chuck, John P and Glen

Then I think Tommy came back, Chuck wasn't doing the greatest, then

Styx was Dennis, JY, Tommy, Todd, Glen, sometimes Chuck

Then Dennis was kicked out and I got confused after that - LOL!!!!!

See, this is endless babbling, never ends............................

So Styx is whoever anyone wants it to be, WHO CARES anymore!!!

OHHH and speaking about Kyle, OMG, I think he's hottie!!

Suite - you're wrong.

John P did all the drumming on Edge and toured throughout the whole Edge tour and what not.

Todd didn't appear on the scene until Brave New World/Cyclorama

Ash, I believe Todd played drums on the re-recorded 1995 version of Lady(from the Greatest Hits) though it was kept a secret as they were expecting John P. to become well enough to join them for the 1996 tour. Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way.

Actually, there's a story about BNW, I'll have to find it. Sadie, do you remember about the drumming for this album???

I was just making a point that this is a stupid thread with endless babble.

I'm still on 4 hours of sleep for 72 hours or somethinganother.

There is always a story...though I believe it isn't the drumming on BNW you are referring to...it's the bass guitar.

Not even going to comment on the point to this thread...assuming there is one.

Then it's the bass guitar and then the drumming on the other.

Don't forget the guitar work during Equinox and who that was too and what happened.

There's no point to this thread, it's a babbling one - LOL

Glen was with Tommy and JY but gee that has changed

Stopping by to play 3 songs every couple of weeks is guy who is on the fence
He's been in limbo for years.
If Dennis made a call to Chuck this crap would be over in 1 second.

Then you could add him the the Dennis Glen Hank and Kyle band,

For how many songs?
Im sure Chuck gets paid seeing he owns the name so he probably stops by to collect a check. One he would have never seen without Dennis Deyoung . But thats another story ,

It's a matter of record that the two haven't talked since the split. Chuck plays 3 or 4 songs with STYX and is happy doing it.

Chuck's health will never let him play a full gig, especially with the number of shows they do.

Believe what you want in your fantasty land. But there would have to be some serious reaching out on both sides for Dennis and Chuck to play again.

Like you, I wish everyone would grow up and put their differences aside. But realisticly, it is still years away if ever.

Froy that's enough don't you think??

Let it go!!! Especially with Chuck. Chuck did have to make a tough decision during that time. If you were in his place you probably would've done what he did.

Just let it go!! Trust me and let all this shit go!

Let it go? And miss doing the circle jerk for the 1,000th time?

Surely you must be joking....we may have moved away from vinyl, but the broken record plays merrily on...warped and scratchy and all.
