10.White Sister-Fashion by passion
09.Storm-Storm
08.Yes-Going for the one
07.Zon-Back down to earth.
06.Starcastle-Citadel
05.Angel-On earth as it is in heaven.
04.Blue Oyster Cult-Agents of fortune
03.Magnum-Kingdom of madness
02.Kansas-Leftoverture
01.Styx-Grand illusion.
Chicago's Styx may have started as a poor copy of Yes.But by the time this monster appeared they were the grand masters of pomp. It's the epitome of the genre, bristling with melody, good musicianship and just the right touch of arrogance. The confidence in the songs is almost overwhelming,as the title track and Fooling Yourself swagger and dash. And it's difficult to ignore Come Sail Away,a song brought back into focus by constant repitition on South Park.
While the band's other albums are almost as flawless, this is the record that really marked Styx's territory.

Bingo bongo.
Jesus loves you ,but everybody else thinks you're a knob.

I have Kansas and BOC. "Burn out the day, burn out the night, I can't see no reason to put up a fight."
I actually cannot disagree with this assessment of Grand Illusion.

"Burnin' for You" is on the album, "Fire of Unknown Origin" by BOC, not "Agents of Fortune". FOUO is one of my favorite albums. "Don't Fear the Reaper" is on AOF.

You are correct NIG: My second favorite BOC tune is DFTR..."Romeo and Juliet are together in Etenity"..Big controversy over what that song is actually about, it always seemed to be about suicide, but I think the song writer always denied it.

NIG this was my fave entry from there....

Everybody, please lighten up, it's just a song. When I was a kid I thought they were saying "Please Don't steal my reefer".

Hehehehe I'm still laughing at that one.

Thanks for posting this.
