OT - New Jersey Casinos (for suite, bugsy, NH)

This is a funny thing I wanted to point out to those of us who went to New Jersey.... remember how I kept talking about how the casinos are run by the mob and how the state has to monitor them so it's like a big bribe? Well this just makes me roll with laughter:

The other breadwinners would actually have to bring home the paycheck if the Casino's closed, instead of pissing all the money away.

What states don't understand about Casino's is that they ruin lives of people who are addicted to it. Then again, what does a state care? They get more tax money the more Casino's make. Putting $500 a day limits on losses doesn't do much, when you can go to another casino close by.

I guess this is why so many bands are playing at Casino's these days, there's lots of money to be made there.

very ironic.
Democrats with full control in NJ can't agree anymore than Republicans can agree at the national level.

How much do you think they might have to raise taxes to make up for the loss of revenue? casinos = $2m a day.....wow

Dude - I've been there. The breadwinners aren't in the casinos. It's the little old ladies spending their Social Security or their husband's insurance or retirement pension. Less than 10% of the people in the casinos we walked through were under the age of 50 - and thats no shit.

The bread winners aren't the ones gambling, they are those that are working there. It's called their job.

I'm not referring to the breadwinners that work there, I'm talking about every other breadwinner, including and especially the little old ladies.

I know a few old ladies that are Aunts of mine, and they spend all their money and savings at those places.

Sure would have been quiet around there if the casinos had been closed, eh, Ash, NH, Suite??? Wow.

Interesting article, Ash.

All I can say from my point of view was that a little of any casino goes a long way with me. NOT my thing.

Bugsy
Change your hairdo. Change your name.
Congratulations! You're still the same.
