Saw Foghat open for Alice Cooper a few years ago. They were OK.Only one or two originals left(I think).

WAIT, another band with just one or two original members??

I think I only know one song they sing anyway. Do they still have the original lead singer?

This is funny, Foghat is coming to our Zoo here in town.

I don't know who I want to see, them or Headeast, Phil Vassar or Christopher Cross. Not many good choices this year, I'm not a happy camper.

Foghat, unfortunately, only has one original member left, drummer Roger Earl.
The original four were back together from 1993-1999. But lead singer Lonesome Dave Peverett died of Cancer in February of 2000 and the other two, Rod Price & Tony Stevens, have since departed again.
Former Ted Nugent/Humble Pie singer Charlie Huhn is now the lead vocalist and Bryan Bassett(ex Wild Cherry & Molly Hatchet) is on lead guitar. Craig McGregor, who has been with them on and off since 1976, is back on bass.

I am duly impressed with your knowledge here....not to mention having whiplash from trying to keep up with the musical chairs you've just presented.

Thanks Sadie. Foghat had quite a few changes in personnel. And there were even TWO Foghats touring out there from 1990-1993, one led by Lonesome Dave, the other by Roger Earl. Then they all kissed and made up and put the original grouping back together in 1993. I was glad to get the chance to see them several times and THEY were quite impressed by my knowledge of them too. My friend would laugh when we would talk to them backstage when they would be amazed at certain things they thought only they knew....Sort of like Suite Madame Blue or Bugsy who have quite a bit of Dennis DeYoung trivia that I didn't know....

Unfortunately for me, as far as trivia goes, the less likely you can make money with it, the more likely I am to know it.
