Last week the jam session was NIG and I. I just can't handle the Journey high notes, but I am a decent singer. The Rainbow stuff is much more suited to me.

You're on! Anytime at all. 8)

NIG, you need to learn the solo to High Enough by Damn Yankees (yes, I know you're not a Ted Nugent guy). My wife and I can duet it fairly well. I do the Jack Blades stuff and she hits Tommy Shaw's high notes.

Damn, that's cool. I love Perry's stratospheric high notes that he holds forever.

I really need to make a couple of demos. One for singing and one for guitar and put em on here.

It's a pretty easy solo. Up on the 14th fret is where it starts on the G I believe. I can't tell ya notes other than that on the fretboard. Everything by ear...but it IS an easy solo. Just make sure to have the Wha Wha pedal goin. :-)

I'll see what I can do but I'd be recording to an open mic cassette player...so it'll sound REALLY rough. I really need a Tascam or something. lol.
I do have some audio cleaning software that I hope works for this project.

I heard that. Sounded VERY cool.
I did a couple of demos a few years ago...but I'm not putting them up. I like to think i've gotten a LOT better. lol. Besides...it's me playing with cds...so I don't know if that's allowed. I also did a couple last year (same way) that I thought were great. I had some backup opinions from friends and SOMEONE ELSE  . They were "One With Everything" by Styx ,"Leave That Thing Alone" by Rush, "Crystal Planet" by Satriani, and I BELIEVE Who's Crying Now (Live version from the GHL cd) was on there as well.
