Well, I had to play a show last night....so I was a "good girl"...no boozing up and then going on stage.

But yeah I'll share a glass of wine later on with you-all...8)

How did it go? Bring the house down?

No booze to come down after a show for ya?

Oh yeah it was GREAT!!

But please help me out here....since I guess I'm too "old school" to get this:

We played a showcase thing last night with 2 other bands...the one that followed us sounded like this:

What the hell kind of....um...."MUSIC" is it when the guitarists are just sonically droning along; there's no melody, and you CANNOT UNDERSTAND A FUCKING WORD being "sung" because the guy sounds like he's posessed by satan?! :x

Id like to hear other people on this. I must be too old not just too old school. I dont get it. A few months ago one of the girls at work dragged me out to a show her bf was promoting. The band was like u describe (I forget their name deliberately). It hurt. I asked the bartender if he had any earplugs. Just didnt do it for me. I like music w/good vocals. A melody is required.

The satan you are referring to is none other than Cookie Monster.

Anyway, that's what they refer to the vocals in death metal as. I can't stand them, either.

Hi All,

Newbie here....figured the booze thread would be a good place to start. Just wanted to say hello from Massachusetts. I've been a Journey fan since 78.

You couldn't understand the lyrics? That's okay! I transcribed them. Here ya go.

SICK AND TIRED
SICK AND TIRED
NO SUN IN THE WORLD
BLACK HAND FEEDS AND I EAT GLADLY
TAKE WHATEVER I CAN

DEAD AND LONELY
SAD AND LONELY
ANOTHER NIGHT YOUR LORD WILL CRY
BLACK HAND TAKES HIM BY THE THROAT
SQUEEZE THE BLOOD, BLOOD ON MY HANDS

I HATE YOU
MUST BREAK YOU

I missed the next part, but the chorus said something about a Night Wolf. Damn catchy.

Well, thanx for listening to our music...but....

BLONDIE was the LAST thing I was hearing....seriously....

But guess I "can't hear the forest for the trees", I guess....

After listening to the material....and rehearsing it...over and over..and over....and over....for a year....
