NASCAR pissed him off. Dallas lost. What else?? Now his beloved Vancouver Canucks are down 2 to 1, and they're shorthanded to boot. At least my supper is being prepared ;).

Final lap, Jr. in front, Jimmie in second with TEAMMATE Brian Vickers in third pushing (drafting), turn three Jimmie makes his move, gets a huge run, Vickers comes with, Jimmie's on the verge of passing the 8, Vickers fucks up, clips Jimmie's rear bumper, sends the 48 into the 8 ending both of their days. Thank you Vickers- hope your win was worth it :x .

Lol EXCELLENT description. Felt like I was there. Wish I had been, damn it. Well, Vickers will be the most unpopular guy for a while. Now if he had taken out Jeff Gordon, he would have been a hero, lol (and I actually like Gordon, but the fans love JR!!! )

Damn...All this Nascar talk is making me queasy! And to think, I just purchased a house just outside of Charlotte, NC (Nascar country, from what I understand). A guy from Boston should get along really well with all those car racing yahoos! Sorry guys, but where I'm from, driving a car around in circles isn't a sport and NEVER will be! I'm going to end up starting another civil war when I get there :)

Hello...

Well, after several weeks of hanging out and reading everyone's posts, I've finally decided to jump in while the water's warm. I've been hesitant to join in because although I've been a Journey fan for several years, I haven't really followed them until a few months ago, when on a whim I looked up information about their current tour, and was floored by what Deano had revealed. I've been fascinated by all of it since.

After following the posting from last night, and how the 'family' banded together when the 'intruders' launched their attack, I felt it was finally time to join in. It was awesome watching you guys, and the fact that JSS kicked ass was even cooler!!

Let me say first off that I am definitely more of a SP fan than a Journey fan, but I also feel that neither is as good individually as they are together. I have seen Journey with SA, and am strongly considering the Baltimore concert (I had just missed the Bristow date when I renewed my interest in the group). I hope you guys will take it easy on me...

Keep on fighting for what you believe in!

Donna

John, I'm fromPhilly and live in Charleston, SC. We are in the same boat. Never drove a car in circles in my life. Well, at least we don't have to put up with ice, cold, snow. The beaches here are wonderful. We live on James Island just about 8 min. from downtown Charleston, about 10 minutes to the beach. :) The water gets to the mid 80 in the summer. Hnmmmm nice! :)

Hey Lula...

With my luck, I'd be the guy who showed up to be a spectator and get killed by a tire that fell off and went into the stands! I remember seeing on ESPN about 7 years ago that 4 people in the stands were killed in Wisconsin by a tire that "fell off" of one of the cars racing on the track, and I thought to myself "man, that's fucked up". I think I'll stick to going to Fenway Park and hoping a stray baseball doesn't cause me any injuries! I just can't imagine any other "activity" (again, I won't call it a sport) where so many people lose their lives, partaking in the activity. I mean...could you imagine even one guy a year dying while playing NFL football?? I guess as a city boy, I'll just never "get it", when it comes to auto racing.

Yeah, just got back from the Pats game where I didn't have to worry about flying tires or line drive baseballs screaming for my head. Only have to worry about drunk fans starting a fight and beating the piss out of you!

No Argument with you there, Scarab! That said...that's the same shit you have to worry about at EVERY football stadium in America! It's simply a football thing. The important thing is that our Patriots are now 4-1, in spite of EVERYONE telling us year, after year that they're finished! I think EVERY "expert" predicted Miami would overtake the Pats in the AFC East this season. That prediction is working out well!!!

You people who hate NASCAR, have got it all wrong.

I am a bigger sports fan than anyone here. When the NHL went on strike/lockout, I needed something to waych. the NBA is completely a waste of time so I tried NASCAR.

Let me tell you, it's much more than drinving in circles. There are a whole lot of scenarios and decisions to make. It's like baseball in the sense it's a thinking man's game and there is some luck to be had, just ask Jimmie Johnson.

Yeah but to me it's like watching golf. Boring, although I understand what you are saying about it. I think it would be more exciting in person than watching on TV or worse, listening on the radio!

Yeah, I'm a city girl, too. But I do love NASCAR

I especially love the races on road courses (not ovals), and when Tony Stewart is battling it out with someone. He’s a bit rough, but what a great driver!
