LOVE AND HATE ?

ARE THERE ANY ALBUMS THAT YOU EITHER LOVED OR HATED THEN CHANGED YOUR MIND ABOUT THEM

I LOVED BRAVE NEW WORLD WHEN IT CAME OUT ONLY BECAUSE I REALLY WANTED TO LIKE IT AS IT WAS THE FIRST STUDIO RELEASE IN YEARS BUT THE MORE I LISTENED TO IT THE MORE I DISLIKED IT AND REALISED HOW DISJOINTED AND UNSPECTACULAR THE ALBUM REALLY IS ....APART FROM ROSELAND, EVERYTHING IS COOL AND WITNESS IT IS FORGETABLE.

I REALLY DISLIKED MR MOONLIGHT THE LAST FOREIGNER STUDIO RELEASE TO FEATURE LOU GRAMM BUT OVER THE YEARS IT GREW ON ME SO MUCH THAT IT IS NOW ONE OF MY FAVE ALLTIME RELEASES...

ITS JUST AMAZING HOW FIRST IMPRESSIONS CAN LIE.

Great topic

I would say that Edge of The Century is a good example
I really hated Not Dead Yet and All in a Days work
Now these songs are killer
And this cd is stellar except for Carria Anne

Journey's Trial By Fire I did not like when it was released, now it is my favorite Journey album.

Kansas' Freak of Nature I used to really like and now I think it is not very good.

Oh wow! I love Freaks of Nature and think it's their best work since the early 1980's. It's a very solid album both musically and lyrically. I'm curious what you didn't like about it.

I've been listening to the new Evanescence album and at first I really didn't like it - but it is warming on me a bit. The first few tracks really set it into a good mood.

Kilroy Was Here, loved it when it forst came out, in the 90's my hatred grew for it. But in the past couple years, I have found myself liking it again.

REO Speedwagon-the Earth, A Man, his Dog and a Chicken. though this was a great comeback cd for the band. now ,except for about 4 songs, it really stinks.

RUSH-Grace Under Pressure, thought it was the best thing they have ever done (for about ten years), now it is ok. Hated there Power Windows cd, now it is my favorite cd by them.

ASIA- Astra, great cd-not anymore! Arena hated that cd when it first came, STILL HATE IT! but not as bad.

FOREIGNER-Head games, not as good as it use to be

JOURNEY-Raised on Radio. Love this cd when it first came out, but over the years I have disliked it as a Journey cd (it is a good Steve Perry solo cd :D )
Trail by Fire, like this two when it first came, but when the newest wore off, it was just an ok cd from a great band
Red 13, hate this Cd when it first came out, 3 out of 4 good songs, but production was off big time. Either I got use to production, or it was not as bad as I thought, but I like it more today that I ever have

Anything Bon Jovi Loved it at first for 10 years or so, then in 90's hated anything he had done and was going to do, now like all his stuff execpt his second solo cd and These Days

Boston Third Stage was my favorite cd by them, no it sounds so generic

Freaks of Nature is my favorite studio cd by Kansas (only own 2 and a couple of live and hits cds by them)-ERIC

REO"s Life As We Know It- Didnt care much for it at first. Now I think it is one of their best CD's ever. Outside of In My Dreams( which is a good song) the entire CD rocks. Variety Tonight is one of the best tunes that they ever did. Excellent CD.

Bad Company - Merchants of Cool - I did not like this live greatest hits CD at first. Now I love it!!! Silver, Blue & Gold is worth the price alone. Excellent CD.

Dennis DeYoung- Desert Moon- I wanted to like it sooooo much when it came out that I did. Now there is NO way I could even ever give that CD a spin. Back To The World & Boomchild are much better.

Tommy Shaw & James Young - What If & Out On A Day Pass- I also tried to like these when they came out. From Day One I felt they were both aweful. Made me reach for the bottle they were so bad. Today, they are both still just as bad.

Tommy Shaw- Seven Deadly Zens - Great right away- Now - a masterpiece. By far his best CD. Dennis needs to make a solo CD this good. JY couldnt if he had to.

Night Ranger - Neverland- It took a few listens, but now I think it is one of their best albums EVER.

Foreigner- Mr. Mooonlight- This also took a few listens, but now I really like it.

Glen Burtnick- Welcome To Hollywood- Great on listen one, Greater on listen two, after listen 5 it became EPIC. Now it is EPIC X 2. BY FAAAAARRRRRRRRRR the best solo CD of any every Styx member.
