Just Be is available on iTunes. (Styx & The Contemporary Youth Orchestra and Chorus of Cleveland)

Search for Just Be, then sort by Artist was the easiest way for me.

It's pretty sad that some cannot ignore the idiotic and childish responses by a poster...and even feel compelled to respond in kind.

No wonder the board loses members. If the best that can be stated is...garbage cans and such...then...what does that say for those making the comments and responses.

I guess I should know better by now.

How pitiful.

Give it a rest already. ChiStyx...I get that you don't like trolls slamming Styx (neither do I for that matter)...but you truly sound like...a broken record already.

Both entities had a good year. Both had success. Shouldn't that be enough for everyone?

Peace

Well, not to poke a hole in your argument, but isn't the new CD a complete ripoff of the one that Dennis released last year? So, yes they have a new CD out, but on the other hand, it is yet another live CD with an orchestra that is being promoted on PBS with 3 new songs...Now, does that sound at all familiar?

And I have to agree with some of the earlier posters..."Just Be" needs to Just Give It Up...

When there is a new DD cd I will bet you it outsells all 9 cds combined that the current Styx has released.

Just Be actually sounds like a cross between "Count On Me" and "A Place to Call My Own" both from Tommy Shaw solo albums.

I heard a bit of it and what I heard didn't impress me at all so far. Nothing like "Yes I Can" or "Dear John" two Tommy lead tracks that really packed a punch. I'll wait until I hear the full version before I really pass judgement.

What I'm worried about is that Styx is going to go back to "I'll write something in LA, Larry will write in Toronto and JY you can write from Chicago" and not doing anything in the studio like they did Cyclorama. Regardless of what you may think of the outcome, that was truely a BAND project when writing and recording went down for it.

Going back to the old way just won't work anymore.

Jodes,
Much of Cyclorama were songs written by one of them, then as a group they "Styxed" them up together. THe only song that was actually created together was OWE. Someone has to get the skeleton of the song before they can collectively tweak it.

I believe this is what is happening.
