My opinion is that JSS was great this year, couldn't hit some of the notes Perry did, but very very strong voice which I liked very much. I indicated in my post that I have seen JSS "My opinion is that JSS was great this year, couldn't hit some of the notes Perry did, but very very strong voice which I liked very much". Your response has not changed my view one bit. He DOES look like a full on cro-magnon man. I am not the only one who has posted this- read the reviews on the Journey official site. I do think JSS voice is much stronger than Augeri's which is more reminiscent of Perry. But he doesn't hit the notes any better than Augeri and I don't feel his stage presence (and Cro-magnon look) suits the Journey style established by Perry.

Ok since we were talking about this, we all know what Neal, Ross, Jon Cain & Deen look like. There are photos earlier in this thread of Perry, Augeri & Jeff.

But here are other members of the band that were part of the Journey style & look if u want to get literal about it. This is how they looked around the time they were in the band (well the Prairie one is from 74 the yr after he left Journey but close enough). Gregg & Robert were frontmen just like Perry, Augeri & Jeff. So folks here it is: Journey "style" & "look" thru the years.

Listen fuckhead....I have NEVER EVER EVER EVER "bashed" anyone other than Perry. It's quite obvious you're another BT reject, based on the fact that you seem to know who I am. I challenge you to find one single thread with my name attached to it that has me bashing Augeri. You'll be looking for a VERY long time, because it's never happened! I have ALWAYS been a Perry fan and make no apologies for that and never will. I thought Perry was a much more talented vocalist than Augeri, and also make no apologies for that! Perry's voice is the only reason 99% of Journey fans even came to know the music. That doesn't mean because Perry doesn't feel like singing any longer that I still don't want to hear the music of Journey! Also, if you had more than one brain cell connected, you would find more than one posting by me where I questioned whether or not JSS was the right fit for the sound of Journey. I heard some earlier boots of Jeff with Journey that I thought didn't make the guy sound like the right fit for a band that I've been listening to most of my life. I have also said that it's not fair to judge Soto (or any other singer) based on some shitty internet boot! All I have said about Jeff thusfar is that I think the guy is a class act and it's really impossible to not be a fan of a guy who is as big of a Journey fan as most of us are. He is also someone who clearly has a tremendous amount of respect of both Perry and the legacy of who Journey is. I also love the fact that the guy doesn't have some rock star, narciscisstic attitude. How the hell can you badmouth some guy who cares as much about the music as we do, as fans, and actually takes the time to interact with us? Oh, and one final thing...Generations SUCKS ASS!!!!
