Nice Try.

I tried to get tickets for this to pull up a map of the place and the show appears to be already sold out.

Also due to play there in the next month:

Asia (cancelled)
Disturbed
Ministry
Seether

This looks to be "the" place to play when in Edmonton.

Nice try tho. It really was.

Edit: This room seats 1400

Ash,
1400 is probably General Admission.

But there is no way Dennis would have a GA show.

This is also from Ticketmaster Canada

AGE ID REQUIRED/DOORS 7PM

So he's playing the mall and is sponsored by a giggling buddha.....go figure.

I just hope, while he is at the mall, he can slip out at the intermission, and buy a suit to replace that awful Reverend Denny preacher suit he insists on wearing at his shows.

I agree the blue polyester suit is awful. I did hear in a recent interview that Dennis said he found it in his closet and that he hadn't worn it in ten years, so he figured why not.

Note to Dennis: Why?

Allrighty.. now you people are taking about a show in my neck of the woods!

Lay off the mall! It's the world's largest ya know!

Darren.. last time I checked there was no JC penny store in the mall! :P

Although I've been partial to the Tommy led Styx the last few years while Dennis has been doing his thing, I cannot pass seeing Dennis in concert. It's been 10 years. This could be my only ever chance of seeing him perform and or meeting him. Why am I partial? Well I've seen Styx live 11 times since 1999. I want to hear Dennis's voice live - been told it has gotten better with age.

The show at Reds is General Admission. It will also be the last "rock" show at Reds, since it's closing down at the end of June.

I've seen many a band there, the last being Queensryche.

Btw.. K-Rock is the classic rock radio station in Edmonton (K-rock 97.3) and Giggling Buddha is the promotion company. The fellow that runs it, was Red's concert promoter, but now that Red's is closing, he's going out on his own, and he's trying to negotiate to buy a part of Reds (the kitchen, club area and bar) to turn it into another concert venue. Not sure what's going to happen to the bowling alley, prviate "party" rooms or the pool hall.

It's definately a place where many bands have played over the years. It's a perfect sized venue for a band headlining it's first tour, or an older band that doesn't want to pay to rent a bigger hall. When this venue closes, many bands will start to bypass Edmonton, because there is simply not another venue for them to play in, for the price.

Dennis should definately sell it out, although if I were to have my choice, I would rather see Dennis at the Windspear Centre or the Jubilee Auditorium, which are both state of the art concert halls. Which holds about the same amount of people (1700 and 2700 respectively) but is definately more Dennis's current style.

One good thing is that it's a non smoking venue and that it is fairly intimate.

Anyone that is planning to come up for this show, there is a hotel in the mall and it's not far from the Edmonton International Airport. You can stay at the mall and enjoy all it has to offer!

Seriously, if anyone is interested please email me.

Best Regards,

Jodes

Man I'm choked.. go figure this would happen..

June 16th Edmonton, AB show has been postponed now until November 4th.

Same venue.

Doubtful that Glen will be part of it now.

I'm even surprised that they decided to try another date to be quite honest!

Damn this sucks..

Jodes,

I wouldn't count Glen out. He likes playing with Dennis and has been added to a number of shows that were originally billed as only Dennis.

My review:

He Cancelled.

Might come back Nov 4th. If he does great, if not, he won't play Western Canada for another 25 years!

Still really really really really really really really upset and BITTER that he had to cancel, especially since Glen was going to join him.

Sigh.. I fell like crying

Tickets for the Nov 4th show go on sale on Monday for any of your here that live in Alberta.

There's a presale that is on until monday 9 am, password is Styx.DDY and Glen bring his rock show to "Eds" or the Edmonton Events Center (formerly Reds) on November 4th, 2006.

Tickets are also available at Ticketmaster, again presale is on right now.

One last thing, you have to go to ticketmaster.ca directly to get tickets, the is no link from Dennis's site to TM.

I am hoping that Dennis's appearance on Canadian Idol will sell a few tickets as well. I thought he was in really fine form that night, and the Idols looked like they were having a lot of fun backing up both Dennis and Roger!

Thanks for reading!

It's really easy just click here, or visit the exclusives section on the K-ROCK freeloaders to enter.
