Obviously they don't think there's a market for them in Canada, hence why they don't tour here anymore.

A platinum album in Canada is 100,000 units sold - So what?

I agree with them 100%. I would hate to see them become the weekend lounge and corporate party act the DDY has become.

In the same breath I could say 15,000 seats over 3 days, so what?

Numbers are just that: numbers.

EDIT: And for the record, I don't think many of the post-1997 Styx releases have sold 100,000 copies anywhere individually. Whether it was a TS, DDY, or JY solo project, that's impressive for one of the guys of a band who are considered by most to be past their prime in terms of musical relevancy. The odds are stacked against any of them selling as well as DDY has.

I mean, look at today's hit albums. Justin Timberlake's newest album entered the Billboard charts at #1 with 684,000 sold. Impressive, but a few years ago, that wouldn't even be #1. The measurements for good sales have changed.
