Wait, that sounds bad, I didn't expect it to be bad, just wasn't sure what to expect after all these years and member changes. First of all, I did not miss DDY at all, yes, it would have been great if he was there, but I didn't think about him not being there. Tommy was great, loved all the new guys, what is with that grin of JY's???? And Chuck came out about 3/4 thru it all and played for a few songs, he looks really good, and that was a real treat for me. The show lasted about 2 hours and 15 minutes (I think). Sold out, 5000 fans. Unfortunately we had to sit thru that stupid country house band they have as a warm up, when they announced that I immediately went to the bar for a shot of Padron to get me thru it, the guy is really bad!!! Styx came on about 10:30. We were about 10 people back on the floor. Great view of it all. They played most of the songs on the setlist you posted, did not do BCM. The medley was fabulous, like a trip down memory lane. Highlight for me was Crystal Ball if I had to pick one song. They did a tribute to James Brown and played I Feel Good; and later did One Way Out, not sure if that is because they were in Georgia or not, but Tommy did talk about Alabama, he seemed happy to be in the south. They didn't play Boat on the River which I was hoping for, seemed to be alot of the earlier stuff being played and that was just fine with me. The guys all seemed to be enjoying themselves on stage. I just felt so lucky to be there, see such a classic band still playing like they were in their heyday!!!

Thanks Tommy for the review
fbnl wrote:Definitely didn't do Blue Collar Man. No hard hats. However, Ricky did put on a cowboy hat when they played One Way Out. And Lawrence did a headstand, forget how that tied in. The ticket prices were $16, $30, $50, $100 General admission for $16, about $20 with tickemaster fees, limited amount at door for $25. The others you got to sit at a reserved table, some were at the side of the stage, I guess those were the more expensive. They must be trying to get some concerts going at this venue, they announced Kansas next month during the Styx concert, hopefully it'll be the same price, regardless, I'll be there for that too. I agree, Styx still has alot left in them for the future!!!

So, are they now back to including DDY songs? I thought they had stopped playing them altogether as evidenced by the CYO show/album.
