No Jodes the 2 guys in the band woke up
They see the writting on the wall
The CYO sales were the last straw.
Everything they put out sells nothing

JY has given up finally
Look for some action come summer time
Im hearing 40 date summer tour.
Lets see where this goes,

Yeah.. I'm sure that's the reason.

Not going to happen.

Sorry Froy, but I think the only way Styx will reform with Dennis is if Chuck Panozzo passes on. (I'm not hoping that of course but it's the only way I can see it)

But I'm sure if you read Chuck upcoming book and his take on the Dennis situation I'm sure you'll think it's all lies. (Even though he's known Dennis now for over 40 years)

Dennis's camp doesn't call Chuck "The Judas of Styx" for nothing.

I can see TS and Dennis working together one day, but I can't see Styx with Dennis as early as this summer.

There will be NO 30th Anniversary GI tour with Dennis on board.

When you think of bass players do you think of Chuck Pannazo?
Not me
When a money offer is made Chuck will not stand in the way

Look for
Dennis Glen Tommy JY and Todd real soon
Gowan is gone.

Whatever Froy.

Just remember one thing.

If it wasn't for the Panozzo brothers, you wouldn't have Dennis Deyoung to worship. (Nor would I honestly)

Chuck DOES have a say, he owns 2/5 of the Styx 'name' and shares.

Chuck did what was the best for his interests and the other two needed him to go on as Styx. That's why Dennis didn't have any legal ground to stand on in his frivilous lawsuit. It was a case of majority rules.

So Chuck isn't the worlds greatest bass player. Big Deal. He's still responsible for more then you are willing to accept. I'm sure his book will open up a lot of eyes in just how much role he played in the band.

Dennis even said it himself, Styx is JY, Tommy, Him and CHUCK.

Finally, I can't see Glen working with JY or Tommy in the near future either with the bad blood between them to.

If you're right Froy, I'll shave my head and eat my Styx hat.

But I can't see it happening.

And you would not have Shaw and JY to worship if it were not for Dennis so who cares

Chuck DOES have a say, he owns 2/5 of the Styx 'name' and shares.

And he wont hold up the band I will bet you on that

I have met Chuck he's a very nice guy
He got us tix back in 95
I wish him well

Dennis even said it himself, Styx is JY, Tommy, Him and CHUCK.
\

And he is right
Finally, I can't see Glen working with JY or Tommy in the near future either with the bad blood between them to.

There is bad blood everywhere
Time to let it go
Look at Van Halen
The Police ect
Its show buisness and rock and roll
Time to repair the Styx damage
Gowan being gone is the first step
His anticts are old and boring
Goodbye Larry

If you're right Froy, I'll shave my head and eat my Styx hat.

Damn Froy is correct.

When I am wrong I will admit it.

Damn I'm wrong!!!

The announcement is about to come. How Froy got this info so soon is beyond my comprehension.

When all parties have signed, it will be announced that a 'Dennis Deyoung led Styx'(Dennis,Tommy, JY, Chuck & Todd) will play a 45 date summer tour. Its a fact and its going to happen.

They will be the middle band in a blockbuster re union of Classic Rock bands.

The set list for most nights (98%) of shows - Styx will headline Chicago & Chicago area shows

Opening and playing a 45 minute set will be Glen Burtnik's Slaves Of New Brunswick Band

Styx will play an 80 minute set in the # 2 slot

The head line act will be a Wolfgang LESS.............. 'GOWAN' who will play for 90 minutes.

I am tipping my hat to you right now Froy as I type this. You broke the story first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh for crying out loud, that's stupid! What in the world does that have to do with anything?!! You want to talk about sin? We're talking about a rock and roll band here!!! LOL, there's enough "women, whiskey and sin" among these guys to fill a thousand pages if I chose. To try to disparage Chuck because of his sexual preference is absurd. He certainly is not the only member whose private sex life would not measure up to some sort of Puritan Biblical standard. What does that have to do with music or even the politics of the band?

THEY ARE ABOUT TO PLAY HOCKEY ON THE RIVER STYX-DEYOUNG SET TO RETURN

The year was 1999 when guitarist James J.Y. Young was asked on the VH-1 series Behind The Music when Dennis De Young might return to Styx and his answer was "Maybe when they are playing hockey on the River Styx". Well folks, the year is 2007 and they will indeed be playing hockey on the River Styx come summertime. De Young has just recently agreed to return to the fold after an eight year absence. The plan is to head out on the road for a 45 city summer tour in celebration of the 30th anniversary of their 1977 triple platinum tour deforce The Grand Illusion. The lineup will include original members De Young, guitarist Tommy Shaw and James Young. Drummer Todd Sucherman and bassist Glen Burtnik will fill out the lineup. Original bassist Chuck Panozzo will also make an occassional appearence throughout the summer. His brother John Panozzo died in 1996. Details are still sketchy at this time but rumor has it the setlist will include mostly De Young penned tunes including Lady, Babe, Don't Let It End, Mr. Roboto, the underated High Crimes & Misdemeanors, Best of Times, Show Me The Way, First Time, Paradise, While There's Still Time and many others. Another rumor has De Young at center stage with his keyboard and piano while the other members will be providing the backdrop, albeit a very unconventional setup. De Young would only agree to come back to the group if he was given complete control over all band decisions. More details will come out over the next few months.

100% agree. Chuck's sexuality is not a factor here. And I'm sure in some way while Chuck participates when he can, to some degree I'm sure he's been screwed (proverbially, not literally) with Styx since he's a bit player at this point AND he doesn't get any of the major profits. Never has. The most equitable agreement was the one they signed back around Paradise Theater.

I don't think anyone in Styx is a saint. I have no firsthand interviews with people who were with the band, et al., but come on - do you think some of the guys were angels on the road in the 70s of all times? Yeesh.

AP -While Styx was touring this past month someone broke into Styx frontman James JY Youngs home. Nothing was stolen. but What Mr. Young reported was when you ring his front door you hear the sound of the opening to the song Babe. Police are still looking into several leads.
