Not confirmed on the Asia website but it has been announced by someone in the Foreigner camp that both bands will go out on the east coast of America together for a month in the summer with more shows hopefully added.

Would like to see the new lineup of Foreigner. Kelly is a good vocalists. Could really careless about seeing the original Asia. Asia made 3 good cds with wetton, but live they were lacking, IMO. Overall Payne era was better live. and for the most part Payne are cds were good (didn't always sound like classic Asia though).

Check out GPS, Paynes new group. Got it last week, it rocks -ERIC

Hate Payne's voice ........ Cant sing a note to save his life ....he sounds like he has swallowed a box of wheeto's without milk.... his voice sounds so rough.

Seen them live with Payne and listening him do the Wetton material made me cringe.

Reading the reviews of the current Asia tour ...... they are blowing everyone away and I cannot wait to see them....

Wetton rules.

I was hoping the next Asia CD would be entitled Payne Free but I guess they would not dare.

Listened to the GPS CD ....tried to like it but got bored halfway through ... now i use the CDR it was on as a coaster for my coffee

That's funny. That is how I feel about wetton live. Sounds like he is off key and has strap throat. Each is own-ERIC

I thought Asia was great on that mini US tour they did in the summer. I'd gladly see them again. I'd like to see what this line up of Foreigner has to offer, too. There were good reports last summer.

I like both asia 'eras'. Saw them live during the Aura tour. They sounded great. Have Live in Nottingham and Live in Moscow, Wetton sounded good both of those. As much as I liked the Payne material, I hoped that Wetton would come back into the fold. Too bad they couldn't have both singers, but no way Wetton was going for that. Hopefully they'll come to Atlanta so I can see them.

if you fly in for the Holmdel NJ show and Jones beach, i'd reccomend flying into Newark. JFK is closer to Jones beach, but you might get a better deal at newark. Camnden & Atlantic city are prob about 2 hours from Newark as well (guessing). technically, you can fly into Newark on 6/21, go to PNC on Fri, JB on sat, and if you wanted to spend some time in NYC do that, then hit Camden & Atlantic city, fly home on 7/1. BUt that would prob be too long a trip.

otherwise, fly in for PNC & JB, spend a day or 2 in NYC and go home on the 25 or 26. ;)

Wetton was an abolute disgrace at a convention in Allentown, PA a few years back. Bloated, drunk and forgot the words in a 2 song acoustic set. Sobered up some for the electric set later that evening, but was still way off. Unfortunately for him the whole thing was taped for DVD. I have it and it is kind of embarassing.

Fortunately JW seems to have his act back together. He sounds much better on the recordings I have heard from the reunion tour.

I saw these postings the other day about the Asia Foreigner tour, that's why I was suprised to hear the DJ in San Jose mention an Asia Styx tour. Guess we will have to wait and see.

I've seen Foreigner many times, but only with Lou in the band. I haven't seen the new version.
They were supposed to play here next month but just cancelled.

According to Live Nation, these shows are actually Styx/Foreigner/Asia. Heres the link. This may be the classic rock tour of the summer!!!!!

why would Asia headline? if Styx headlined over Foreigner, why wouldnt they headline over Asia?

maybe it is really equal billing. Each could headline in its own right.

Because Asia has its classic line-up in tact - neither Foreigner nor Styx do....

With all due respect, and I LOVE Asia (Wetton and Payne). Asia had one Major album. You could add every album after the debut together and it wouldn't equal the first, and there's a BUNCH believe me I have 13 of them! Asia has probably 5 "Hit" songs...Heat of the Moment, Only Time Will Tell, Don't Cry, Days Like These and Go. Even subtracting Dennis' songs, Styx still has 2-3 times the hits package. Asia's tour last year they were playing places with fewer seats than the current Styx. That's why.

First off Asia should be the headliner. Foreigner with one original member and Styx with a stale lineup that has toured for years together should open. Asia is reuniting all 4 original members of a band that was originally a supergroup.

If I go see this show it will be because of Asia. Styx comes every year they just change the bands they tour with but REO seems to be there popular choice.

But all that being said I HATE these type of shows. Each band will get like a half hour to play......none will get more than an hour. I have never seen the entire original Asia lineup and would like to but the problem here is Asia will play a short set...they have long songs to begin with...so maybe 8 songs from Asia. Plus the freakin concert will be at least $80. Would rather pay just $40 just to see Asia alone. Could get free Styx and Foreigner tickets if they were by themselfves.....the arena by my house gives out free lawn tickets to these type of shows every year.

The two shows I've seen on live nation are 65 bucks each for the best seats.

That's the exact reason Styx should headline these shows. As great as those songs are, there are nowhere near up to par with the Styx and Foreigner classics.
