Obviously, Schenker is one of the greats amongst rock guitarists but other than this tune and a couple of others, I haven't found much of his music that I like terribly well.

Dave - yes, MSG were a big disappointment overall - and they only recorded about five or six great tracks. However if you want to hear Schenker at his absolute best try the UFO albums released between 1977 and 1979: "Lights Out", "Obsession" and the live album "Strangers In The Night". Schenker was on fire in the late 70s - especially on "Obsession" - but he never recaptured that spectacular form on his MSG albums in the early 80s.

Well, if you do revisit them try to get a listen to Schenker's lengthy solo on the live version of "Rock Bottom" from Strangers In The Night. I'd be curious to know what you thought of it.
