Because, when you have a major trauma like that- you have to take prednisone. Which is a steroid.

That will put the weight on BIG TIME.

Okay, How's this for stirring the pot? Deano's Bryan Adams or Andrew's Rick Springfield? I think RS's ShockDenialAngerAcceptance rocks much harder than Room Service. Better songs too I think, sorry Deano. :D

You can think whatever the Hell you want.

Room Service was the best rock album last year, period. Andrew admitted it too.

I don't think Andrew likes KISS. Look at this quote:

Strong language from the director of the MELROCK HOF.

Deano, DO NOT start making up fake quotes and attributing those tome. That really pisses me off.

Of course I would vote for Kiss. Down the line though. They are melodic, but when I think "melodic rock" it's not the first thing I think. I feel the same way about Van Halen.

What the MR HOF should entail is a number of categories.

1- Bands Entry to 4 bands per year

2- MR posters Entry- 4 posters per year

3- Avatars- 2 per year

4- Single best sentences 4 per year

5- Single best smack down posts 4 per year

6- Best cuss out- 2 per year

7- Best thread. 2 per year

8- Best signature of the year 2 per year

That would be a well rounded MR HOF

C'mon Drew, "Will I" is a great tune, "My Psychopathic Mother", "Everynight I Wake Up Screaming" All quality songs that rock! I'm not saying album of the year, it's just better than "Room Service"

Andrew is full of Australian camel shit. He knows he is lying.

Are you sure you didn't live and work in Florida in November of 1999?

Dude, lets post BOTH CD's and let the MR Poters decide. I can guarantee you Room Service is better. Rick Fucking Springfield...Give me a break. How's Jesses' girl Rick? Sad sorry assed singer.

Wasn't "East Side Story" on that record? That was one of the greatest songs of the, uh, 00's. One of his best tracks. In fact, he won me back with that release.

Well, if you're judging by their full body of work, BA wins hands down, as far as I'm concerned.

That's just not right. Hendrix and Lennon were icons, and Cobain was a no-talent grunge hack who was given much more credit than he deserved after he passed, unfortunately. I was sorry when he died, but I resented the label that he was the voice of a generation. Not mine, that's for sure.

Maybe, but Deano would have to take quite a few points from BA because his 2 best albums, were produced and partially written by a Euro, Mutt Lange

BA wrote most of the songs and Jim Vallance also co wrote. Lange produced. Lange did help out on some songs.

These two artists aren't even in the same ballpark.

Reckless really put BA on the map without the mighty Mutt, so all the donkey work was done. Waking up the Neighbours was full of 'hits' but they could have been Def Leppard hits. Jim Vallance is a real catalyst which I think BA missed in later years - just hear his contribution to Aerosmiths awesome Permanent Vacation and Jimmy Barnes' Freight Train Heart with Schon/Cain/Jackson?

BA always delivers live though, treats every show like its his last, real pro.

I personally think Rick Springfield to be severely underrated as an artists due to him never quite shaking off the teen image and his cheesy TV roles. For 1983, Living in Oz was full of great radio rock and Tim Pierce his lead guitarist put some choice lead work on that album. The hint of cheddar was a little too much for most though. ShockDenialAngerAcceptance is a top rockin' album though and he definitely pushes things technically possibly at the expense of the songs?

Also I am listening to Falling In Between (Toto) and its fucking superb. Bobby Kimball is over 60 years old and he sings his lungs out. Perry could take a lesson from him - keeping in that vocal shape into retirement territory. What a range, and you get no better players from any other band. Paul Rodgers played a local gig in Nottingham a few years ago, low key thing, as we went in there was a hand written note on the door saying 'guest guitarist tonight, Steve Lukather'. I nearly shot my bolt there and then, most of the grebs didn't know who he was but it was like having god in your living room it was that intense.

Dude, I know Luke. Partied with the guy all night. Stood two feet from him, directly looking at him, while he played some private party. He is awesome, but I like Keith Better. He sounds like Neal and plays a mean slide guitar.

You and your fuckin soccer and Toto.

Don't start with the whole American anti-"proper" football thing. "Soccer" is the beautiful game. I'm a hardcore Pats fan, I love violent contact sports as much as the next guy, but proper football is the best sport in the world.

You have got to be joking?

Soccer? It's not even a sport. It's a bunch of third world ass clowns chasing around a coconut and kicking it past a guy who just got chased 14 miles by a cheetah and later a rhino, through a couple trees. Gimme a break. Soccer blows. Then you have got the Euros who of course get all beered up on Guiness motor oil, and when their beloved team loses 0-0 on a shootout, they throw ziplock bags of blood and urine at the opposing fans and players. No folks, I am NOT joking. Urine bombs are on display at soccer games. The Goddamned Mexicans played the USA at the Rose Bowl, attendance, 4, 500 (the Rose Bowl holds 100,000+ by the way. The Bleacher Beaners got pissed because their illegal border jumping citizens got rolled by the Americans, so they not only threw urine bombs on the Americans, but chanted "Osama Osama" during the SSB.

Don't get me started on soccer and all the trash it brings with it.

That has to be one of the ten funniest fuckin' posts, ever. Deano, you're so over the top politically incorrect.

The only country that doesn't "get" proper football is the US of A. Even diehard liberal fans like st. john haven't been able to make soccer stick in America, despite their tireless efforts. If only st. john wasn't so occupied with Greenpeace, PETA, and the ACLU, he'd have more time to devote to his life's passion...proper football.

This thread is awesome.

Gone from HOF, to fighting, to REO sucks, Bryan Adams getting in (which he will), to Lukather, to Dean owning Andrews ass, to Lou Gramm is fat, to more fighting, to fucking soccer.

It doesn't get any better than this folks.
