Possible song on Dennis' CD?

Postby GrandIllusionist725 » Mon Apr 02, 2007 5:56 am

Do you think that on Dennis' new CD that he would finally release "All for Love" from that unreleased CD by Styx after Edge?

I've heard he's doing a cover of Cannibal Corpse's "Dead Whore" on the new record.

I sure hope so.

It sounds GREAT live. If he and Glen can do it in the studio, I bet it will even sound better!

P.S. Do you know what my favorite song was off of 7 Wishes???

When I SPOKE to Dennis On November 4th and told him that many were really enjoying "All For Love", he was actually quite surprised, and he did say that it could be one of the finalists for the new CD.

But you've heard this hear first (and the people who saw Dennis in Quebec last week and this week can confirm this) one of the tracks on the new CD will be called "This Time Next Year"

I'm excited for the new CD. Was their a set date or anything on it should be released?

Froy, do you have any inside info on a possible time-frame when Dennis would have this CD ready? I can't wait to hear it too.

At both Friday and Saturday night concerts in Montreal, Dennis himself said that it is supposed to be finished by the end of May, so we should start looking for it in our stores by June. (This would be Canadian stores, at least).

I think DEP (Canada label) wants it sooner than end of the year. I have heard June for the CD.

Maybe he is working up a different CD (not unheard of) with different tracks for the US release?

Don't believe Froy.. he's still trying to convince us that Dennis and Styx will tour together this summer..

We're still waiting Froy..

And most of us can't wait to hear the excuse you'll come up with when it proves (GO FIGURE) that it's just a load of BS..

They have been touring together for years Jodes
Styx follows Dennis wherever he goes and plays within miles of his shows
He goes to the Superbowl so does Styx
He goes to PA so does Styx

Right now it does not matter Styx may be done for awhile as Shaw is in trouble
I think we have more than a throat infection.
Things happen for a reason and Shaw voice being blown out happened for a reason.
Dennis is going to freakin soar now seeing Styx may not be a bump in the road any longer
Dennis will get the last laugh BET ON IT<>

Froy.. I've heard the song.. It's definately not "rocking everyone's world".

Not saying it's a bad song, it's like Jennifer meets Why Me meets Northing Ever Goes as Planned with a bit of Fallen Angel thrown in.

But I will reserve final judgement until I hear the studio version.

I have it Froy if you want to hear it..

NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

I had some hope when first hearing about Dennis going back to his roots. From the sound of it, I will probably end up passing on something like that. If Styx (with DDY) did it, maybe, but Dennis' band? No way. The musician that created those roots is no longer.

"Three Coins in a Fountain" is actually going to be the first single. Dennis sings, plays the piano, the ukelele, and the accordion on this one. Like so many other of Dennis' offerings in the past 25 years, it has "massive hit" written all over it.

I can't wait to hear Dennis' stuff. Its been since, what, Boomchild since he has had a solo CD? Their was his 10 on Broadway, Hunchback, Ultimate Collection, and the Symphony Orchestra.

The Grand Pieces of Paradise? Love it.
