Good point. No US distribution. It's pretty easy to get though. You didn't back me up on WSC and THTS. Did they or didn't they go plantinum. Everything I know of these two albums is that they tanked.

Hey...I'm a huge dave fan and Survivor fan and all, but the fact is JJ has done more stuff than Survivor or Dave in the past 20 years....

It's also very hard for me to believe that THTS was a success and achieved that status....WSC did have a couple of hits....but i'm not sure it went platinum....

Too Hot To Sleep was a great album. I just can't believe the song "across the miles" didn't make a top 10 hit.. That song is amazing, i'd love to hear it live as well as with Rob on vocals.

You know at one time I didn't like it that much, but the more I listen....it's a solid album...

I love buring bridges....

Across the miles is a great song as well...and i like Can't Give it Up...

I don't follow how my bud red thinks it has only one Ballad, as Across the Miles and Didn't Know it Was Love have to be considered ballades...but good songs.....

I think by the time that album came out, Surivor had just lost too much stock for it to be a hit and they were in somewhat of an identity crises...One interesting note that was pointed out in the idiots guide to survivor was the fact that the guitar riff in She's a Star was lifted from Girls, Girls, Girls...I went back and listened and ...I'll be damned....Frankie...you Vanilla Ice like devil.....

I hate disagree. What the hell has JJ done in 20 years? 1 mediocre solo album and 1 above average solo album? Is that really a great body of work? Like I've always said, let's hold Jamo to the same standard as the rest of crew.

Albums recorded and released:

Survivor 2.
Jamison 2.
Since THTS it's Jamison 2, Survivor 1.

No one's saying, least of all Jimi, that he's the hardest working dude around.

But if you're gonna slag Jamison for doing nothing, then what do you have to do to Survivor who's done 1/2 that? :shock:

I actually wasn't slagging Jimi. Just trying to hold him to the same standard that everyone holds Survivor. It's well documented that I think the guys work very hard. I think Jimi works hard. Let's not equate working hard with producing albums.

Hey, I"m not even a JJ guy, but hell...Dave is working harder doing commercials than either of them most likely... but it seems none of them are killing themselves...hey and look at the brightside...they have spent 20 billion less dollars and still put out more than Guns N Roses....

I've finished more demo tracks (55) since 1989 than Survivor has, and I've had day jobs since the day I graduated college. Give me a break. Frankie is an amazing guitarist, but he is lazy and doesn't give a crap about the fans.

Congrats on your diploma from ITT technical college. You have no idea how many tracks Frankie Sullivan has put down. None! Once again you confuse your assumptions with fact. I'm still waiting on those sales figures from THTS and WSC. You were also the guy that said Jamo was fired. Oh yeah, Jimi made it clear that he left the band on his myspace website.

So, including European sales WSC went GOLD and THTS didn't. But RIAA is an American association who primarily accounts for American sales. And neither CD went GOLD in the US...

Thank you for pointing that out. I would also be curious to see the sales of Preomonition and Caught in the Game. Jrnyman 28, if I'm not mistaken each country uses a different standard to determine gold and platinum recoreds. Am I correct?

I know some do. I read on the front page that in Norway (I think) Gold was like 50,000 sold!
But I would imagine it has to do with the population of the country...

Well. . . . .as I mentioned in another post, contrary to most of the opinions I've seen here thusfar, that performance (if you can call it that) on "Dancing with the Stars" was one of the most pathetic things I have ever seen.

The music sounded very good. The vocals were some of the absolute most horrendous (and frightening) I have heard in my lifetime. My sister, who also loves Survivor (with Dave and Jimi) called me up, completely pissed off, and said "what the hell was that????!!!!!".

I don't mean to be mean (to Robin). But, I'm sorry. That was absolutely terrible. What were you people listening to?

Were we watching the same thing?

Have you heard the original version of EOTT??????

You seriously thought that was a respectable version????? Are you seriously being objective?

I cannot believe that any of you are.

If this is what the "new" Survivor sounds like these days, I will NEVER, EVER support this band again. I've been a DIE-HARD fan since 1981 and have probaly listened to the debut CD, Premonition, EOTT & Caught in the Game over 1000 each.

So to hear what I heard on "dancing with the stars" was a brutal reminder that this band has fallen into truly desparate times.

Don't get me wrong - I know they wanna play music and they're having fun doing it. But, please don't use the name "Survivor". If you're going to use that name, then at least make an effort to really honor those great collection of songs (from both Dave and Jimi).

O.K. - go ahead and bash me now.
