Desert Moon on CD question

Postby fsutall » Wed May 23, 2007 11:32 am

A local used CD store has a copy of the original CD pressing of DDY's Desert Moon in excellent condition for $6.00. I have the reissue from a few years ago but would pick up the original if there is any difference in sound quality and/or the first pressing is still a decent investment. Has anybody compared the different CD pressings?

Doesn't the original have not so good sound quality? I have always noticed that. Pick it up though, always fun to find stuff like that!

Well, I probably have at least 5 or 6 pressings of Desert Moon on CD. The original CDs (all pressed in Japan) from the 80s really sound decent.

I never opened the shrink wrap on the reissued 24-bit version.
