Guys, whether or not I get the Journey gig, I will always remember the years I spent here on this forum, and the friends that I made, and the detractors that I had. Whether it is a tribute band singer, Gap maintenance manager, or a vocal swiss army knife, everyone has to come from somewhere. My understanding is that Journey wants to get on the road and recapture some of that sound that helped make the hits what they were. Judge me by grainy video, by my backup band (who are damned fine at what they do), or the age old, tired "he sounds like he's trying to sound like Perry

)....in the end it will always be about the music. If they go with a guy who knows the songs inside and out, and has conditioned his voice by singing the material every weekend for 5 years for 3 hours at a time, to most I would think would be a
good thing, but then again, there'll always be a fickle minority in any population. Regardless, just keep in mind that I'm one of you. I got a house payment, a 9to5, and a baby on the way. There's no fame or fortune that separates me from any one of you, so if this opportunity presents itself, it's like our old friend Henry Hill once said, "As far as Jimmy was concerned, with Tommy being made...It was like we were all being made. We would now have one of our own as a member."
