You know, I don't regard Damn Yankees or S/B as solo works, but this would look very different if I did. I would list virtually the entire Shaw Blades "Hallucination" album here.

Can't believe Abitaman's the only one that listed, "A Place To Call My Own" His best solo song in my opinion, which means everyone who missed it is wrong! This includes you Zan!

Nice job Stac! Don't know how you could not have "Just Get Through This Night" on the Styx side. But I'll quit being picky so you won't hate me! :D

Love In The Midnight

Postby cittadeeno23 » Wed Jul 18, 2007 6:41 am

Seems like most of us have Love in the Midnight on our list.
God, I love that song! To me, it is everything that Styx is about. From the cool progressive sound, to the unmatched harmonies. I'm glad to hear most of you like it too.

And only two people (including myself) that enjoys Cold War! Come on! "And i say you're a thing of the past and you ain't gonna last, no matter what you say and do.." :D

I am also glad to see much more of Everything is Cool, i really wish that would be in the set. Notice, not one song from BNW in the set, ohhh well!

I HATE COLD WAR - Poorly constructed, poorly written, and it takes WAY TOO LONG to get to the chorus. And Tommy shows he doesn't even know what a Cold War is - a Cold War by definition is a war with no bloodshed/loss of lives etc....so the line "Blood is in the air....everyone everywhere..." is incorrect.

Not sure if he thought he was writing a new version of TMTOMH, but the song fails to work on just so many levels and is not close to TMTOMH.

Other than the knucklehead stuff, the only similarity I can find between these two songs is the use of cheesy handclaps. Not sure from whence comes the comparison.
